Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Hi Hon @Faith-and-Hope

Today is my mum's birthday so I will be spending most of the day with her. I am picking up my sister as well as taking Toby. He loves one of my mum's dogs so he will happily play with him for part of the time we are there. He still follows me everywhere but if I sit in the backyard with them both then he will play with her dog. He was such a good boy yesterday - he sat next to me most of the day and got lots of cuddles and pats from my sister's partner's nephew. He is such a lovely kid - all their family are lovely. My sister's partner's father was being really grumpy and so was my father but it was a long, tiring day so whilst I can understand it it was unacceptable. I was too tired to deal with it too but it was also time for everyone to leave so despite it being a disappointing end to the day it was a good day until then. My sister out did yourself with lunch - it was totally amazing. She is such a good cook and a great host. I often think she would be great on one of the cooking shows - she never fails to put on a great spread

I hope you had an awesome day too and everyone behaved themselves. Will check in with you again after I return from seeing my mum today

Re: Far and Away

Hey @Faith-and-Hope Finally home from visiting my mother and lunch with her and my sister. We went to a place e all love which specislise in ....wait for it ....crepes I had a chicken, mushroom, cheese and asparagus crepe - so did my sister. My mum have salmon with hers. That is what I usually have but I had a lot of salmon yesterday and my sister gave me the smoked salmon that was left from yesterday so I went for the chicken instead.

Mum seemed to have a nce afternoon and that was what was important. She loved her birthday gifts and wore one of her christmas tops to lunch. She hasn't tried on some things yet but hoping they fit and we don't have to change anything.

My sister and I got our christmas presents from Mum and Dad today as well - with the abrupt end to yesterday she didn't want to give them out while everyone was still there and then they left anyway - so we had to wait until today. I didn't mind but it would have been nice to have the day all for mum ...she didn't mind though and that is what was important.

Toby spent the time we were away in my parents' backyard - think he was laying under the tree when I went to get him. Dad said he was barking quite a lot - he really doesn't like being away from me unless he is at home - I am surprised Dad didn't bring him in with him but he was eating lunch when we got there so that is maybe why.

Cat is outside in the garden and enjoying the beautiful day - it is supposed to be warmer tomorrow and then low 20s for the next week - so plenty of lovely days on the way. I might get to sort out my garage a bit over the next week

I have a voucher to the Art shop in the city that I need to spend - my sister was going to get me some more paint brushes but she didn't know what to get so I can now pick up what I need. Speaking of art - my sister's partner's sister absolutely loved my sister's painting and asked if I was 'taking orders' - I said I would do one for her too so that is something I will need to prepare for down the track. I want to do the peacock painting first and then a butterfly one so hers will be down the track a bit. Hopefully I can get the peacock one done for when you return - that is my timeline for doing it anyway.

I am resting for the rest of today and probably tomorrow then going to the Taste of Tasmania possibly on Friday - it is the first day of the Taste so it will be super busy - but my sister's partner's family have invited me before they head back to Melbourne on the weekend so I really should go. They are all such beautiful people and I actually enjoy being around them so it should be a bit of fun. The youngest child is 13 and he and I seem to get up to mischief when we are together lol - he is such a lovely boy and brings out the best (worst) in me - but it is fun having him around. He is a little cheeky but so polite and well mannered also - just a gorgeous boy - much like the rest of his family

I got burnt at the cricket which has made my skin very itchy since - I have put my cream on but it really is not helping a lot - can't reapply it for another couple of hours which is annoying. Hoping the itching subsides soon as it is making it very uncomfortable at present.

Hoping you have had a wonderful christmas and have also had some time to relax. Missing you so much right now but it will be halfway through the time you are away in no time and then the remaining time should go quickly too - that is my hope anyway.

Many, many hugs and a whole load of love coming your way and a few extra for Visual, D2 and the rest of the baby dragons

Hey @Faith-and-Hope it’s so nice when I see your name pop up to support posts. It makes me smile even that even though you’re so far away you still think of coming here.

We are here for you too. Thinking of you wherever you are right now. Hope things are ok also with your hubby and children. ❤️❤️
