Yes I am permanent so get paid all year @Former-Member 👍 It definitely is not a 9-5 job - we do so much outside of school hours. I would have ideally liked to have it all done by now (apart from the things I can only do at work). I wanted to take things in to school this Friday and do the things I need to do at school but it looks like that will need to be later next week now. I can't change that though so it is a matter of doing what I can in the time I have left and hoping to have a couple of days to myself right before we go back ....see how that goes.

It was so sad redoing Cat's room but Clover and Toby both came to help so it made it a family affair lol There were of course tears to begin with but seeing Clover so happy in her new room has help immensely. It looks nothing like it did when Cat was here (apart from a couple of things that used to be hers ...but Clover loves them so I have left them in ...a little bit of both my babies in the one space.

Have cleaned up outside and had a nice long shower so feeling a bit more human. Have also fed the fur babies so next is getting stuck into some more work. Going to find something to put on to watch whilst I am doing that.

Hi @Zoe7 hope your day is going well.

Have had tooth extractions 4 hours ago now. It was easy as the gums were in such a bad way. One just popped out and the other came out with just a little bit of discomfort.

Dentist told me to expect pain and rest up for the day.

Good excuse to read my book.

It's really good - also an SBS show - Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty.

I made the trip to Bunnings this morning so have done the final edges of the step. Once it is all dry I can put on the last paver then a little bit of mortar to fill the gaps, wait for that to dry, clean it all and it will be done. Next is the path. I need to borrow my sister's partner's jackhammer but I won't pick that up until Monday when I will be in their town for the dentist. It also has a digging attachment so I can begin digging up the stumps in the backyard as well. It is so good to be pain free and be able to do things again ...but I also know I cannot over do it. I get tired and my body aches very quickly at present so a little at a time then a break.

@Former-Member I hope you do not suffer from too much pain today. I had ongoing discomfort for a few days but it has settled so much. My face is still slightly swollen but I have a few more days on the ABs to hopefully get rid of the infection completely. I hope you were given some pain killers Hon.

@Snowie It is good to be back but I am taking it slowly 👍
