The water is not walking distance away @amber22 , but good to be near by car anyway, especially in such hot days as we are having.

In a long term battle with someone truly toxic in their behaviour, and it’s tiring waiting it out on the legal side of things @amber22, so low-energy bouts occur periodically. Just have to rest up and distract ….. and swim, float, swim ..,.. x is playing the long game.

School goes back early Feb @Shaz51 but for now I just need to get through tomorrow, Christmas, my Mum's birthday and then I will no doubt crash.

@Faith-and-Hope Glad you got to the water Hon. I understand that fatigue - can barely walk this afternoon but nearly there. One more day then preparations for Christmas day. I have a bit to do tomorrow but once I get started I should pack everything up in a few hours. The kids were awesome today - and I had a few tears at the end of the day ...my gorgeous little boy who calls himself Toby after my Tobes cried so much. He wants to repeat grade 2 so he can stay with me 😮 I am going to take Tobes for a visit in January so it will be nice to catch up with both him and his family (they are all beautiful).

I am absolutely exhausted as I have had Tobes at the vet all day whilst I have been at working cleaning our room. My little cherub decided he wanted an evening snack - problem is he chose the wrong snacks ...half a box of chocolates and a packet of gingerbread later and a trip to the vet to have his stomach emptied followed by charcoal and anti-nausea meds. I do not know how he did it but he must be a persistent little fluffball - got through christmas wrapping, plastic, the box and foil wrapped chocolates. There was even bits of foil he had eaten! I have him home now on a bland diet for a few days ...he seems fine but I was very worried for a while.

I made two trips home to bring things I needed to sort out and wash over the holidays - including our fish tank. I nearly lost our cat fish (who I think has been eating some of the fish we once had) when he decided to have a ride an ornament I took out to clean. I grabbed his tail just before he went down the sink and looks okay back in the tank ...but just another moment of anxiety for today.

I need to do some cleaning up at home now, put away the rest of my stuff from school and make sure there is nothing my little Tobes can get to!!! Then I am going to crash in front of the tv and watch the cricket. Tomorrow will be another busy day doing all the shopping for christmas and more cleaning/putting things away so we have somewhere to eat on christmas day ...think I will sleep for a week after the next few days are over 👍

It was a very stressful couple of hours this morning @tyme but Tobes is okay now ...thank goodness. He definitely will not be getting into anything else - all packed away and put up super high lol

Thank goodness indeed @Zoe7 ! At least places are still open so he could go to the vet. Otherwise he’d have to go to emergency!
