Far and Away

Thanks @Former-Member Lawn mowed, fur babies fed and having a rest before I have a shower. Had not even thought about dinner! Will see what I can throw together after I have a shower.

I was up around 6am and have been working all day (apart from a quick trip to the chemist). I seem to be taking two steps forward and then one back but at least there is some movement. I still have so much to do - one document needs to be done today so I can run it by our support teacher tomorrow ....then the other one before Tuesday afternoon. I also have some things I want to do for the kids but will need to do that in any breaks tomorrow evening and then finish Tuesday evening. 3 days to go and I want to spend as much time with the kids as I can ...so it will be a long night I feel tonight.

How is everyone else doing?

I sat outside for my coffee this morning and Jay sat with me instead of trying to escape over the fence ….. such a good boy ❣️. I rewarded him with a little tin of his favourite cat food and he licked the dish clean.

Lovely to hear Jay is keeping you company Hon (and not trying to escape). Tobes and Clover have been taking their turns sleeping on my feet under the table ...so I have had fluffy 'slippers' on all day lol Just had a break outside but it hasn't really helped - still can't concentrate properly but I have to fight my way through it in order to get it all done.

Going to rest for a little while until I feed the babies, then have a shower to try to wake up my brain a bit and get back into it @Faith-and-Hope

I have crashed a bit this afternoon, slept for a while and not doing anything much. Backwash from recent weeks, and the year over all methinks.

Did not have a shower @Faith-and-Hope - have hit a wall and crashed a bit myself ...so I don't think there is much point trying to do any more work tonight - better to look at it with fresh eyes in the morning. I usually have time off on a Monday but we have been told there is no guarantee that will happen this week so I will have to go in early and possibly stay late.

It has been such a tough year for you Hon 😥 Be kind to yourself and be so proud of continuing to get through all that has been thrown your way ...you are one strong and courageous woman 💖💖💖

Hi @Faith-and-Hope So this is the note I left on our door for our cleaners this afternoon "Please do not clean our class - we will do it tomorrow. The rubbish bin and sponges are at the door - don't look any further lol. Signed Our Class" ...that pretty much says what we did today - made lots of mess, had lots of fun and will do the same tomorrow - then clean up.

In amongst all that I have been working on the documents I need to complete - one is nearly done and the other one I will tackle in the morning - it won't be finished but it will be well underway ...I can't move mountains when told so late in the year I had to do something I was initially told I did not. I also have that student again next year so it is not as urgent as the other document - too bad if that is a problem.

So tired but determined to enjoy the last 2 days with my class 👍

I had a Yes day ie. said yes to everything even before the kids could finish their sentences/questions lol The room looked like a cyclone had hit it but the kids cleaned up Everything. One more day with my angels but I do need the break. Tomorrow we need to clean everything - tables, chairs, bag boxes, etc. but it is supposed to be a nice day so I can see a lot of water being thrown around - as long as I stay out of it the kids can go for it lol The more fun and laughter for their last day, the better. We are also going to put 2 movies on between our 4 classes so the kids can either clean or watch a movie (I know most of my kids will want to clean 👍).

Some more work for me to do tonight but it has to be done. I know I won't get it finished but at least it will be a step further along.
