Far and Away

Good morning @Faith-and-Hope I am so glad you got some sleep yesterday and hope you had an early night and got some more. I slept through for 9 hours - so needed - and woken feeling so much better. I have already done the ironing and cleaned the remainder of what needed doing in the kitchen from last night. Toby's toys and the vacuuming are next then I will change the bed before I get stuck into the school work. Do you have any plans for today?

You are such a dynamo ❣️ Nine hours sleep and you have done a complete re-set ….. lol.

I went to bed not-late last night and slept right through - about 8 hours - so together with yesterday’s 4 I am feeling a bit more human.

I took the day off yesterday, pretty much, just had no stuffing at all. This morning I am back to work on this project. I am going to give it the day and see how far I get, then finished or not I will need to get on with the next round of submission work due at the end of this week.

It does feel like a complete reset @Faith-and-Hope I was not at all well yesterday so took my extra meds before bed in the hope it would help ...and it seems to have worked. I am still tired but that is more a weary-need this term to be over-get to the holidays kind of tired. I am going to try not to sleep during the day today and get another early night tonight. Clover is getting her teeth cleaned tomorrow so I have to have her to the vet early and I have meetings and appointments every day this week after work so it is going to be a long week ...but if I can get all organised today for the week then that will make it easier. Hopefully my little baby does not need any teeth out but the vet is going to take an x-ray to see if that is needed. We think her two back teeth have grown slightly crooked but an x-ray will show how much and if it is going to be an ongoing issue ...if that is the case it is better for her to have them out now rather than waiting for them to be an issue later.

I am so pleased that you goth so much sleep yourself - it does make us feel a little more 'human' when we are less foggy. I know you are enjoying the current project but it would be great to have it finished so you can give your next submission work the time needed.

I have a new project - I bought a wooden clock for the bathroom and when it came some of the numbers were burnt on crooked ...disappointing but I have bought a thin piece of wood, cut it to the same size as the clock face, am going to reburn the numbers on then glue it over the existing face. I actually like it better with the face popping out a bit and I can burn the numbers in a style I like so whilst it was frustrating at first there is a big silver lining.

@Faith-and-Hope That is really cool. I had some of the kids into wood burning last year. They loved it.

Have slept for the last few hours. Laid next to Tobes for some snuggles and fell asleep myself. Definitely not what I had planned but can't get that time back. Don't feel like doing any work now but need to so have to find the motivation.

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope it warms my heart to know you're still here in the West. I think about you lost days. I'm so sorry that legal issues have been drawn out.

Don't feel guilty for resting @Zoe7. You obviously needed it. I know it's hard to get motivated after. Start with something small and easy first.

I turn on music to get myself up and going again @Zoe7 ….. it tends to take me out of the inertia groove with beat and favourite lyrics ….. transportive ….

Understanding the nature of x has enabled me to see that it was never going to be anything other than horribly drawn out, if I didn’t remain under his control and the life-circumstances he had planned for me, and “instructed” me to follow, as though I didn’t have any other choice …… it’s what they do. It’s not hard to see that that “option” was not an option.

I have another cat. S2 and D3 have been cat-sitting for me in the east, but they have decided they are keeping Nellie for themselves.

I don't feel guilty @Sans911 I just hope that does not translate to a later night tonight than I planned. I still have so much work to do and losing those few hours means more work tonight ...but I do have some time off tomorrow so I will try to catch up then on what I do not get done tonight. We have 3 weeks until the holidays and I really want to catch up before then so I can have some days off.

@Faith-and-Hope I am glad you have something to get you up and going Hon. I am going to finish the housework before I feed the babies then settle into work. I might try and find something on iview to have on in the background 👍

I am taking a break to make dinner now. It’s been a good day’s work but I still have a long way to go.

I am glad S2 and D3 have taken to Nellie as they have. She has ended up being a care-animal for all of us. I will need to take Jay back with me when I go east, so that is going to be interesting …..
