Love that you are re-using the bathroom tiles Hon. I love repurposed materials and the conservation principle of it, and I understand that it’s a tricksy thing to remove the tiles while keeping their integrity intact.

@Faith-and-Hope My painting is coming along but it will likely be a long night to get most of it done before tomorrow. The good thing though is I am really into it now and want to do more. The tiling can wait. I cut a few more earlier today but then had a meeting to go to and it was already dark when I returned home ...I will finish it when I can but hoping to get all tiles cut tomorrow. I do need to remove a couple more but from my estimations I will then be 3 tiles short so tossing up what to do ...will most likely leave them for now and search for ones that match later.

Love that you’re making progress @Zoe7 . Can you use me large feature tile in place of the three ? Maybe mash it up with a few smaller or border tiles ? I can’t see what you’re doing, so don’t know if that suggestion is way off the mark ……

Hey @Faith-and-Hope I have completed the undercoat of the main part of the painting and am having a break before I start the background. The first part should be dry enough when I finish the background to start putting in finer details. It definitely won't be finished tonight - more for the drying time than my motivation ...because that I have heaps of tonight 👍😁 I am really enjoying doing this work and wish I could share it with you but it is for an exhibition so like most of your work, I need to keep it to myself 😔 I can say it is very much in my style and of course there is a butterfly theme running through it. I am also adding colour as well as black and white - so the juxaposition of the two should give a great effect.

I cannot use any other tiles. The base tiles are ivory and there is a different tiled stripe running through. The tiles I should replace are all in different spots so I think I will be leaving them as is. I can remove them at a later stage and replace if I can find the same tiles somewhere. I will keep an offcut of one to match. I did see some similar at Bunnings yesterday but did not have one to compare ...by sight it seemed a pretty good match but you can never really tell until they are in the same light.

Enough of me - how are you going Hon? Any further progress with the legals? How are your baby dragons and grandbaby?

@Faith-and-Hope Painting update ...Clover and Toby are half blue ...Clover decided she wanted to jump onto the dining table and straight into the pot of blue paint I had mixed ...result - blue paint all over the table, rugs, floor, chairs and of course Clover. Toby was underneath so he is covered and of course he ran through the paint chasing Clover as she ran through the house so his paws are blue too. Such a mess to clean up but what can you do? Clover was just getting her Art on - takes after her Mum lol

Hope your class went well this morning @Faith-and-Hope 😁 No more painting today (apart from the fur babies lol) but more tiling done 👍 I have now nearly finished tiling around the mirror I moved - just need to cut some longer strips for above the mirror. Then the more difficult job of tiling around the cabinet - the sides are extremely small spaces and will need a fair bit of concentration and precise cutting. I firstly need to cut to the mm the backing boards to place around the cabinet for the tiles to be glued onto so it will take some time to do ....but getting there 👍

Clover and Toby are still blue - haven't washed either of them yet. Clover is going to be the difficult one as she has never had a bath before. When she was a kitten I intended to give her baths but she never really needed one. Toby needed a bath anyway and he is an angel in the laundry tub getting washed so he is easy.

Got a fair bit of cleaning up to do so will do that tonight - hate having things everywhere. I won't be putting everything away that I am using but it all needs to be tidied up a bit. Also want to wash the floor before I wash Toby otherwise he will just roll in the dust still hanging around from the work in the bathroom if I don't and get super dirty again!

Gosh I hope DIL fed Bobcat tonight as S1 and S2 have gone away for weekend to cousin’s engagement party.
