A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

That doesn't sound good @Zoe7 . Not your fatigue or your knee. I understand you wanting to start the year with the kids, but your health comes first @Zoe7

Re: Far and Away

Neither is good at all at the moment @utopia We only have the kids for 3 days next week then we have a long weekend - after which I see my GP again ...so I am just going to have to take it a day at a time and see how I go. I will be restricted in what I can do but will work around it somehow.

How are you after your nap?

Re: Far and Away

Could you do the three days in a wheelchair @Zoe7 ? That would support both your knee and your fatigue maybe ?

Good morning @Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 @utopia @Shaz51 and anyone else around.

Wishing you all a good day today.

Lots of love 💗💗

Re: Far and Away

Unfortunately that would not be an option @Faith-and-Hope but a good suggestion.

@Faith-and-Hope @Snowie So the carpet has not been started - they are saying that it has not arrived yet but that was not their excuse earlier in the week ....so what can we do???? The school business manager and I are both very frustrated but there is nothing we can do about it. She is going to ask the school attendants if they will stay late on Monday (if the carpet comes) so we can at least get the furniture out and set up. They will get paid overtime if that is the case ....but - the carpet has to come and be layed first. I have no doubt our school attendants will stay because they are wonderful and would do as much as they could for me - so blessed. Even with their help though we will not have time to set everything up and put away things in the cupboards and on shelves - they have to clean them first and there are lots of them (wall to wall on one side and half the wall on the other). It looks like the first few days with our kids we will have to be outside as much as possible and I will have to get in and sort out their books bit by bit after school each day ready for week 2.

I need to go out again today also - took my prescriptions to the chemist and took one wrong one - and of course the one I did not take was the one I need today! Then got home and backed the car into the trailer - some a/h had moved it and I did not realise. There is no visible damage to either the car or trailer but I can't get down to look under the car to check it out fully. The handle on the trailer that attaches to the tow bar is a bit knocked about but with some pulling and pushing it should be okay.

My knee is not good and it seems my arm has gone out in sympathy - aching and no strength at all but I have absolutely no idea what I have done to it or when. So quite a day so far - and one I would already like put behind me ....but still so much to do. It really has been one of those days but no point crying - just do what I can, when I can and see how I go.

How have your days been?

How are the kids liking being back at school Snowie?

How are D2 and Jay @Faith-and-Hope ?

Re: Far and Away

@Zoe7 sounds like it has been a full on day hon.

I hope you have been able to take some time for yourself tonight 💜

Re: Far and Away

Hey @Snowie I have done a little painting this afternoon and fixed a couple of things but mostly chilled out. I have some paperwork and files to go through tonight then I can file them all away for later. Then I will get into finishing some of the labels - it is easy work, just time consuming. Have been back to the chemist and got what I needed - which has helped with the pain and aches. I keep looking online to see if a closer GP appointment has come up but no luck so far.

Re: Far and Away

Glad that you have been relaxing this afternoon hon and could do some painting @Zoe7

Hopefully you can get some sleep tonight and tomorrow goes a little better for you.

Re: Far and Away

I am going to work all night if I have to @Snowie so I have the next two days to relax a bit more. I can't do a whole lot but have put a chair in the garage to work on a couple of things and want to do some more painting - see how my knee and pain hold up.

How are the kids doing? ...and how is the 'getting up early' going for you?

Re: Far and Away

Sounds like a good idea hon @Zoe7 I hope you get everything done that you want too.

The kids have survived the first week back at school and so have I. Don't really like the early mornings but they are both happy to be back with their friends. Hopefully it stays that way.

Had my booster today so my arm is a little sore, nothing I can't deal with.

Time for me to hit the hay. Have to up early in the morning, D starts work at 7am. Will be happy when she can drive herself to work!!
