You have done a lot today @Faith-and-Hope 👍 Well done 🏆 Lovely to catch up with your niece and D2 vaccinated - that must be a bit of a relief for you Hon.

I have given up on the corner for today. Still need to cut and stake 2 more footings but came across a tree root so will need to work around that now. It means more measuring and cutting the sleeper down before I stake it in ...did not have the energy (nor brain power) to do that so late in the day so it is now for another day.

Going to paint the last long sleeper soon so that is done - I find painting relaxing so it will not be a chore. Then I will have a nice long shower, get my jammies on and collapse on the couch for the evening. I am sure I will find some meaningless tv to watch and my friends here to chat to

You have powered through so much in the last few days @Zoe7 ..... good to hear that you are resting up a bit now.

Good job today @Zoe7 You seem to be achieving so much on your holidays.

@Faith-and-Hope @Snowie I like doing this stuff so whilst it may seem like I have not relaxed much it is actually relaxing for me doing the garden and deck. I have painted 3 sides of the longer sleeper - the last one will need to wait until it is dry and I can turn it over. We are expecting quite a bit of rain tonight and tomorrow so it will be an inside day for me ...jammies already out lol

I get that @Zoe7 .... there is a saying that goes "a change is as good as a holiday", but I feel that doing something you really enjoy is like a holiday.

getting downstairs turned into a very small unit for mum who is now having trouble going up and down the 7 steps

been soo hard as mum is getting confused and wanting everything that is hers put downstairs which will never fit in

i am finding to hard to stay in front of everything , I am writting things down but then having to cancell and change appts

mum is having trouble with paracetamol so i brought some liquid paracetamol and she has coughed all night and says no more paracetamol, she will put up with the pain

You're not "Venting" - You're just describing your situation & your Mum's Challenges, which you seem left to deal with by yourself (largely).

My Mum "Vents" (Offloads) intensely Negative emotions to (on) me - Virtually every phone conversation that we have.

Had a forced complete break @Faith-and-Hope - fell asleep. Woke with a squishy face asleep on top of me lol Might not be easy to sleep tonight now but I am pretty worn out so who knows!

D3 is taking care of our slinky one for us @Zoe7 ..... she keeps sending photo updates of her curled up like a croissant all

over their house, or sitting on guard in the hallway ..... lol
