A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

Sounds like it has been a good day for you @Zoe7

Hoping you enjoy the NRL grandfinal tonight.

My day has been ok. Haven't really done much, hard trying to find the motivation to do anything. Just sitting here with Izzy after cooking dinner.

Re: Far and Away

Gorgeous, faithful Izzy 🐶💖 Tobes has been helping me in the garden - as it is still quite wet he now has black paws and a black mouth (he was eating dirt ) - strange one my little buddy lol Clover did come out to help after the lawnmower stopped - she is much like her older sister - runs from the lawn mowever and vacuum cleaner She has started to jump up on things in the garden now and loves chasing bugs - she is so adorable. Tobes just sits and watches her, then looks at me, as if to say my sister is craaaazy Mum but I am a good boy 👍

I can only imagine how hard it is for you at present Hon. We have not really been affected down here by COVID - the usual check ins and precautions need to be taken but not the horrendous and continuous lockdowns like you have had to endure. I cannot believe that MH professionals are not classed as essential workers The government has poured money into MH but where is it actually going? Not to face-to-face help that is for sure - makes me wonder just what is actually happening with all that money and how much is being squirreled away in meaningless and ineffective projects that do not actually help anyone!!!!

Re: Far and Away

I am glad Tobes and Clover have been there for you hon @Zoe7 It sounds like they are a great match and very entertaining!!

I just wish they would make them essential workers. It is so hard to do this phone thing constantly. It has really pushed me to my limit. Think it will be an early night here again.

Re: Far and Away

I think we should all call A Current Affair @Snowie and have them ask the government that question - we know that MH issues have risen extraordinarily amongst this pandemic but pdocs and psychs are STILL not seen as essential workers - it really makes no sense and quite frankly the government is putting a bandaid on a broken leg - not good enough and it will cost more in the long run when sadly there will not be the services to deal with all the fallout. Thank goodness we have each other here

Re: Far and Away

It doesn't make any sense to me either @Zoe7 It is just making my mh worse rather then better. I can go see a dentist but not my psych or pdoc. I am glad I have you and others here.

I hope the lockdown ends soon, I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Re: Far and Away

It is just another example of any physical illness or issue being given more weight than our mental health @Snowie Don't they know there is a correlation between MH and physical health as well??? Imagine the money they would save (and so would we) if MH was given the same priority ...and imagine how much the stigma around MH would be reduced also!!!! This really is a topic that gets my blood boiling so I can only imagine how hard it is for you Hon. What I will say is YOU can get through this and lean on us as much as you need. You are super special dear Snowie and whilst we cannot change the ridiculous rules around MH professionals not being essential workers for you we can hold your hand and be here with you. Hugs and hugs and hugs sweetheart 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Re: Far and Away

I hope this gives you a giggle @Snowie (not so much me) ...Clover just ran across the dining room table after coming in from outside - there is now a trail of dirty paw prints across the material I so carefully laid out and the tablecloth underneath that I just washed... 🐾😢

Re: Far and Away

Sounds like Clover is quite the handful @Zoe7 Luckily she is super cute and loveable!!

I have an appointment with my psych on Tuesday that is now over telehealth again. I just hope I can talk to her. I have started writting down everything I need to tell her. It is a long list.

Think I might just go to bed. No point staying awake. Goodnight hon, I hope you enjoy the NRL and can get some sleep sweetie.

Re: Far and Away

Writing things down is a great thing to do @Snowie but no doubt the time is not enough to get through everything - prioritise the most important things (aren't they all though ).

I hope you can get some sleep too Hon - I have to wash the tablecloth again now
