Far and Away

So much information and thought has gone into that post @HenryX ... there is much to give thought to ... well done. 👍

However, I will add that perhaps such in-depth insight is largely wasted (or dare I say even 'inappropriate') on this thread ... which is meant to be a social spaces thread (light in nature). Would you give thought to perhaps opening another thread (not in the social area), and putting it out there for further discussion? If you do, please feel free to tag me. It is definitely a topic worth discussing.

Mum is not doing as well as they would have hoped - there is small improvements but she is still in ICU. She is (rightly) scared and in pain. She cannot cope with the harder pain meds so that is adding another layer to her not getting better quicker. I am spending time with her after work, then home to feed the fur babies and let them out, then back to the hospital until visiting time ends. My sister is with her during the day as she has taken time off work (and will continue to do so until Mum is more comfortable and improving).

My sister is not coping with everything either so I also spend a lot of time on the phone listening to her and encouraging her to look after herself too. Her partner is away for work at the moment too so she is alone - which is not ideal for anyone

I feel totally swamped with everyone and everything but there is not much more I can do but get on with it. I have so much to do for work - all things that cannot wait as I need to enter art work from the kids into a competition (scanning, entering details via the individual entry forms and sending off). Then there is another competition I need to sort out for them next week too.

Yesterday I also received a card from my vet so that brought on the tears for my little girl... life really needs to turn around soon - just too much to deal with lately Thank goodness for my other two fur babies - they are my saviours 🐶😺💖

You do have a lot happening at once - yes - there is too much to deal with and you badly need things to turn around

We are all thinking of you and hope things do improve soon. Work is important too.
