Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7 .....

Hope you're sleeping now. My phone's chime is in, and WH text that he had landed in his stopover destination .... so I'm awake now .... 😏 ... sleep tally 5 hours .... but it's still early here so I might be able to go back to sleep.

I'm a bit nervous about him coming back, for a few reasons ....

I don't know whether he is going to look more unwell than he did last time I saw him. It's been 7 weeks, and I don't know whether he increases any of his disordered food and exercise behaviours when he is not with us. As he is working out with weights, but not moving higher on the scales, his muscle acquisition means a loss of some other sort for that to be happening, and it will eventually register clearly in his face that something is amiss.

It is also hard being in the vacinity of his "driven" activity level. I find it anxiety promoting, and he then assesses how busy everyone else in the household is and begins trying to assign them support tasks to what he wants achieved if he deems them to be free.

Operating solo for this period of time without having to accommodate anyone else's needs, he will need to readjust to working as a part of an extended household ... and unbeknownst to him, his moods are unstable, so you can unexpectedly receive a hostile response to something simple, or he begins to complicate issues that were straightforward. That means I need to on duty for problem-solving at a higher level of attention.

"Honeymoon" is over shortly ....

I am going okay so far today I think .....

Woke with a text from WH at 4:00am to say he had arrived at the transit stop-over, so sleep tally was 5hrs at that point, but I managed to doze off again for another couple of hours after 5:00am, so that brings my tally to 7hrs which is decent.

I have just gone for a two hour walk .... ✅ .... so that will have burned up some stress energy too.

Back to work .... a lot to do today, starting next with a shower ....
