I'm a bit short of sleep this morning, so feeling a bit wonky.

We are making crosses from palm leaves at church this morning for Palm Sunday tomorrow, and we braid little donkeys out of them too .... I will post some pics when I get back. Lovely crafty morning to look forward to.

I am having a quick smoothie and almond-milk coffee for breakfast and hopefully D3 will come this morning. It's good when we get a crowd of young 'uns there too.

@Former-Member. I used to live that book - the tawny scrawny lion.
When we were kids - if we were good when mum did the shopping - she would buy us a golden time book as a treat. No lollies in the checkout isles back then

No .... and wasn't it a good thing .... no lollies in the isles ? No isles in fact. You used to have to line up at the counter to be served.

Showing my age here, but i remember the lollies being stored in their open boxes under a glass-fronted counter, and you used unto have to buy them individually .... counted into a paper packet, at 1 or 2 cents each .... some were even 2 per 1c .....

Oh @Faith-and-Hope I remember those days - and every now and then you would get an extra lolly that you didn't pay for - it was like christmas at the time. I remember once I when I was really young I got 10 cents too much in change. I took it back to the shop (too honest for my own good really) but the outcome was that I got to keep the 10cents and got a free 10cent bag of lollies - honesty does count - I think I was about 8 or 9 then - soooooo long ago

I felt pretty pleased with myself at the time @Faith-and-Hope

...but I did take a little smurf toy from a service station when I was a little older - I felt so guilty about it - and couldn't take it back because the shop was not where I lived - so I threw it in the river. Somewhere there is probably a little smurf swimming around wondering where his home is...

Ive still got a few of my old golden time books @Shaz51. They were a great treat to get. So much better than lollollies and junk food.
