A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Former-Member

I have been away - I went to Lakes Entrance for a week - and I don't like to advertise my absence - if you get what I mean -

It was a fantastic week - the weather was perfect - no rain at all - pretty hot though - the soles of my feet are tough because I walk around barefoot in the summer - but the pavements were so hot I got blisters on my insteps - I could have done without that - but still they healed up okay

And the mozzies - they only bothered me one night but they were as big as aeroplanes - true d inks

It's a fair walk from the motel where I was staying to the surf beach - but it was really soothing and healing to sit looking at the surf - I could do that again and again - but the train was tough work - sitting so long in the one shape

I spent a long time walking beside the lake outside my room - just across the Princes Highway - and the wild-life - pelicans, swans and of course seagulls, right down to tiny things like little sea snails and bugs and crabs on the beach - wonderful

But truly it was worth the difficulties - next time I will be going First Class though - and I will be going back - I will try and post up some pics - it would be easier to get them off the internet that my phone - but I will try that

My gd came in to take care of my cat - and the cat was good for her - but since I got back I have had a bad dose of naughty bad cat - she let me know how angry she was - it's the angriest she has ever been about my trips - strange that

So - I am back - I could only hint that I would be away - and this time the motel did not have internet access -

Hi @Former-Member

It was fantastic - I am going back in a few months - now I know the motel is clean and friendly

The blisters - yes - the heat came right through my shoes - Lakes Entrance is a long thin area mostly along the Princes Highway for a couple of Km - but the blisters healed quickly - I went to the supermarket and told them about the blisters and someone got me bandaids and ointment but a big bottle of water and rang the taxi so I could get back - luckily the blisters didn't burst so it was okay

But it's good to be back - I did miss everyone

Hi @Owlunar .... it sounds idealic .... no wonder you want to go back .... ❣

I had to look up where Lakes Entrace is.

I am glad your gd could come in and look after your cat so you could have the time away. Good on you ... I hope it was a good refresher for you too, and has done your back the world of good,

You took a train trip to get there ? Magic. You get to enjoy the countryside coming and going too.

Good to see you ❤️

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Former-Member .... 💕

I wish I could head back into the first today and finish it here .... and stay on all week. There are lovely places down here to explore .... haven't been to the beach, and they have rocky shores with big spray .... and there are art galleries and cottage craft industry everywhere .... sigh ... one day ....

S2 has uni in the morning, so I better get up, muster everyone, and hit the road.

Going to catch up with my bro this morning cos he lives near here ... an hour's drive away so he and his new wife will meet us half way, and then D1 and SIL have organised a lunch catch-up cos they were down this way for a wedding yesterday, but where they have booked is too far out of our way ... so that's not sorted yet .... which is awkward ... so I'm just going to have to park that and get it sorted on the way somehow.

❤️
