Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

I mowed the lawn

I am relaxing now and I am going walking tomorrow morning with a friend.

Feel for you dear @Former-Member I do know what it can feel like when we are in battle with our heads and they feel like they are going to explode. I can understand that no manner of talking can help at these times - just living moment to moment until the worst of it passes. And tomorrow is a new day bringing fresh hope. Hold onto it. Thinking of you and please know we are here to support you when you are ready and need it. One day at a time. You are not alone as I am feeling somewhat in turmoil myself too. But we will somehow get through to better days. Sending warm hugs 🤗 xx

I was okay - just very tired - as @BlueBay said it was warm and humid here yesterday - I could not get comfortable with my body and went to bed early - and it is cooler today with some heavy weather due -

I do know what it's like when the world gets too much - I don't have anyone around to help or hinder so it was just me - the cat likes to go outside on warm nights - she is very interested in the night life and oddly - during wet weather -

But I think we all get tired after Christmas - but now the ghosts of Christmas Past have long laid dead and the Christmas present was okay - I may not see a Christmas future so why worry

I was just tired and beat by the weather and I do not like abrupt changes in the barometric pressure because of my spine - but I am okay today

This change in weather in Victoria does play havoc with our physical body and our mental health.
It's the humidity that I find hardest. And living in central Victoria - we get no cooling sea or bay breezes.
But on warm humid nights - I can spend an hour looking at the stars. Listening to the birds settling into their beds & the night animals starting their day.

I have been in the mountains during the hot weather and I really think that the valley breezes can be soothing - but bayside is best - on hot days we get the afternoon sea breezes that are refreshing and then the five o'clock shivers in the mornings

But this doesn't happen in humid weather - but we have rain now and it's cooling down

I love the stars and I watch the planets - every Christmas ddd gives me a book to cover all sorts of astromonical information including where the planets are for the whole year and the best time to see planets and bright stars will be close together

So the stars and starry nights - I love it - I go out in the summer when it is sometimes hot inside and out and the A/C can't cope with it and the winter when I have to find my slippers and dressing gown to go out early in the morning to see the interesting events

We are having the rain now though - as we did off and on yesterday - but today is cooler

@Decadian. That's a great present to be given. I'd love to know more about the stars and what I'm seeing.
My son has a great book. I should start looking it up.
At night - directly opposite my back door is 'the saucepan' - as some people call it.
I call it 'Ancestors Foot'.
At the bottom are 3 stars - the toe prints.
At the top - to the right is a star - that some would say is the handle of the saucepan. I see it as the heel print of the foot.
And obviously, I have no knowledge of what these stars are called.
I wonder if others see different patterns / pictures in the stars

Hi just checkin in.
I'm finding it difficult to connect on the forum at the moment with my friends here. I guess it's what I do.....run away from those I care about when things get rough. I'm really sorry. I'll be around in the places on the forum I can. I am just feeling lost and frustrated and angry at myself.
