Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Far out that was a lovely post to read @Faith-and-Hope, thank you ❤ I so much appreciate you. I really hope you find the lost Mr you know is still there. He is seriously lucky to have your patience, determination and belief in him. I don't know if I could do what you've been doing there for so long.

I too am really glad you are finding helpful support with your counsellor. I imagine there's a lot there to unpack and a lot of feelings and experiences to process. I hope you found coffee in the end.

I'm going to take the huge ball of wisdom and warm fuzzies I've found here today and maybe make my way up and moving to do some of the things I need to do around the house for my crew. Probably need to get out of my pjs before picking up the biggest too. That might be a start! 🤔😉😆

Big hugs for any/all. Thanks for being you ❤

Argggh big girl pants slipping. Need more elastic 😏. Brain fading. I’m ok. Not in crisis but feeling out of my depth and self doubt creeping in. Big decisions to be made I’m struggling to know what to do 🤬.

Hearing you @Teej ......

Can that girlfriend of yours provide some emergency elastic ? Maybe text her again ?

And maybe see if you can break some of the decisions and processes down into smaller and smaller steps, so you are inching forward ? A belly-crawl will do it even ......

Big breath, and remember the mantra ..... “Press scary button then bury head in sand ...... press scary button then bury head in sand ..... “

You can do this.

I actually hope you won’t be walking me through this at some future time, but know that I am proud of you, and here for you ❣️

Hugs @Teej. Know you have some serious elastic going on in those pants, as you show us all the time.

It's OK to have doubts when something is scary. You said that you trust the process and maybe that's what's important and what you can lean on when the self doubt and uncertainty happen?

You got this.

No I don’t want to be walking through this with you @Faith-and-Hope . I think I might need to sos my girlfriend. There is a very very big thing that is happening and coinciding that I can’t talk about but it is definitely adding layers. It about my rock trying so hard to be my rock while they are walking through hell. It’s bringing lots of wanting to grab them out of hell because they don’t deserve this. I’m feeling a bit helpless about it all. Fixit brain keeps going in overdrive too.

Thank you you for being voice of reason. I was trying so hard to not fall into old ways but haven’t quite developed new ones yet either. So when the very big feelings came today, followed by self loathing it was a little bit scary realising I didn’t know what to do. I’ve pressed the big scary button twice today but have two more to do. Need to take dog for a walk now so I’m hoping that will help to alleviate some of the twistiness.

Thanks @CheerBear 💜🤗😘 I’m not so good with being on the other end of the 'you’ve got this' messages yet. It’s a work in progress. It’s so much easier to see it in others than myself.

@Faith-and-Hope I meant for your sake I don’t want to walk through this with you because there has been a good outcome. 💜🤗😘

Re: Just checking in.

Getting physical does usually help @Teej . It burns up stress-produced adrenaline or something .....

Controlled breathing makes a big difference too.

And keeping a pit of pencils next to an adult colouring book.

Its like splitting your attention reduces the pressure, as long as it’s not too many things at once, and a soothing activity.

Hugs ❣️

Re: Just checking in.

I got what you meant @Teej , but thanks for clarifying. While I hope it does work out for us, I am acutely aware of you and others for whom things are working out a different way ...... it all takes getting our brave on, no matter which way it swings ....
