I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.
Hi everyone, self check in. No sleep. Not good on my brain chemistry..😏..home now. So listening to Schubert!

Re: Just checking in.
Good to see you @Former-Member. Self check in is awesome by the way. I don't feel like I'm hassling you 😊 Was just thinking of you and how relaxed you were when you had your holiday a while back. I can't remember where it was but I'm pretty sure it was in a rainforest. Really testing my memory now 😬 Any chance you have a holiday like that coming up. I know things might be quite different now though and lots has happened since but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Re: Just checking in.
Hi @Former-Member
The best thing I did with my GP is write down what I was dealing with a let her read it. Asked her to wait untilI I had left then I didn't have the added pressure of any reactions or questions at the time. But I then knew she knew and could talk 'around' things without actually having to say anything aloud. This helped me enormously - knowing she had more insight into how I was feeling and coping and what I was thinking without heaps of questions. My GP is very good at determining how far to push, when to stop and gaging where I'm at by my reactions to any questions or statements now. I know I am extremely blessed to have such a wonderfully caring and insightful GP. I hope that you can find this kind of support from yours also.
Thinking of you xx

Re: Just checking in.
Hi @Former-Member, thank u. Um, so busy up to, boxing day etc. We went to a party last night but I kind of felt myself giving up with trying to fit in. I've been traveling a lot today, sleep deprived max. I know tonight I'll sleep well. My eldest two go to their dad's for a good chunk of holidays, I will miss them. I have built my life with my kids, fitting into partner circle of friends here. After last night I think I'll just give a few invites a miss in future. It's hard being the one to keep up for them all. And the circle of friends are his, not mine. I'm kinda at the point of heh dudes, accept me for all I have on my aye, or lets leave it there! But I'm feeling low, tired...I know it's not my best state. My ex partner was being painful blocking my door so I couldn't leave, he is meant to text only but is being a nuisance. I'm not scared of him. I told him k didn't have time for his s*** ,told him to close my door and text me his Christmas arrangement wishes. I've already offered a great scenario, but he likes to make sure he puts me out. An exhaustive person to deal. But there we go! I'm sure we will try do something in holiday. Right now I see sleep ad my only option! Hope you are well Teej? I hate venting..😞

Re: Just checking in.
Oh no! Well you had been planning on seeing old's for long time, maybe just tell them bossy sister has moved plans all forward kind of throwing your travel needs out to be in two places. Sure they will understand? Or just offer them a pad for a day whilst they pass through maybe? Not sure what you comfortable with and tell them you will have to catch up new year. Keeps is loose then. Would be my approach!! 😉
