Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

That is so frustrating when things are cancelled at the last mintue - especially when you really need it - can really set you back. Glad you've got that additional support locally and that your specialist apologised. Hard sometimes to see them as 'humans' with their own lives also!

Do try and swim and go out for coffee and if you think you need to be in hospital to be safe and looked after - do what feels right for you xxx

Re: Just checking in.

@Zoe7 That sounds like a good mix. One day of art would be fun. I have junior primary teaching experience but way back a couple of decades ago, I haven't taught since my eldest son was born. It sounds like you've had a mixed bag of teaching experience. I hope you do find your way back if that's what you want. It's a high stress demanding job.

You share many similarities with @Former-Member from what you've written.

@Former-Member

That is hard when you need an appointment like that and have no warning it's been cancelled. I'm glad she emailed you back though. I hope it goes well well with the extra help. I do think I need some different help sometimes to challenge me more and help me work out things. Sometimes different approaches work really well.

I know it's a really hard time of the year as well. I can't wait for it to be over. Years ago it was what I lived for, funny how things change. Take it a day at a time and you'll know if you need hospital or not. 💜🤗

Would do Art every day if I could. I do miss the kids (hate the paper work - but who doesn't) and love the job when I'm well.

Haven't had much to do with @lisajane. Maybe need to get to know her a little more if we have things in common.

@Zoe7 I don't want to talk for @Former-Member but you have similarities with sleep/night time and PTSD and the same occupation. I'm sure you'll catch up at some stage.

@Former-Member thinking of you too. I hope you are going ok and getting to unwind a bit at long last. I know you have a tricky week ahead and I'll be thinking of you. I'll post on the holidays thread too. You made it 🎊 Sending hugs 💜🤗💐

@Faith-and-Hope

My best friend died last Friday night 9/12/16 @11.30pm

She was battling breast cancer and she had been unwell for about 3 and half years. She fought long and hard and very bravely. Her wonderful life ended peacefully after a sudden decline in her health.

She also has a son who just finished primary school last Friday and now he has lost his mum, I just hope he will be okay.

We are celebrating my friends life this coming Tuesday.

Re: Just checking in.

@Former-Member thank you I haven't been moderating for a few weeks, it's nice to be back! Like most of you though after you've had a bit of a break it's challenging trying to catch up on where everyone is at but I'm going to give myself a break and try and take it slow and steady haha. How are you this evening @Former-Member?

@Former-Member I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend I hope you are taking good care of yourself in such a difficult time.

Will be thinking of you Tuesday. Will be a a tough day and we are all behind you - sending you love and support to help you though it.

Today is the anniversary of my Nan's death. She also died of cancer. She was only diagnosed a few months before she died and it was so wide spread that there was nothing they could do. I lost my best friend and most of my happiness that day. Miss her every day. Love her more now even though she is not here. Know she is at peace and not in pain anymore.
