Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Hey @Teej You guys here have no idea how much you are all helping me - it is not just through your support but also the resilience I see in you all - even when you can't see it.

...and I have not and will not forget what has helped me get to this point and that is all your encouragement and support over the last couple of years. You have been with me since the beginning @Teej and will always be with me Hon - even when you are not visible you are with me in spirit and that means the world to me. I would like to think that one day your dream will come true - all the good bits of it anyway

You know that no matter how much you have a presence on here or don't that we are in your corner and hoping from near and far that you can move forward in a positive way. Even when you can't post those hits of the support button mean just as much - do what feels comfortable for you Teej because that is enough

Re: Just checking in.

Just wondering if that curve ball was a middle @CheerBear and today? Guess I lied about throwing a curve ball 😳😆. I’ve had lots of parenting oopsies this week and again tonight. I’m actually hiding in my room giving them space just now.

I had a collapse day today today and just fell in a heap but not in a bad way. It was a day I gave myself some breathing space to just go with the flow.....and there hasn’t been much flow really.....more like beached whale....but it feels like tomorrow might be better. 37 degrees here today and windy didn’t help.

Re: Just checking in.

Thanks @Zoe7 for those kind words. We all have come a long way and are still here 💜🤗

i have no idea what work will look like yet but I doubt it will be in schools. I’m not sure anymore and I think more scared than I’ve been but also maybe more realistic too. My psych has just started planting seeds about work. It’s a bit overwhelming but so far she has done it in an ok way.

Re: Just checking in.

Yes we all have come a long way @Teej and we are still here and we both know that has not been easy to achieve

I honestly did not think this time last year that I would get back to work so I suppose anything is possible for each of us. You do what you think is right for you and when it is right also - we can only do what we can do but having that little bit of hope that we can achieve what seems the impossible is enough to keep us going. I believe you can achieve these things too Hon - you really have come a long way and it seems that this therapist is really helping you.

@CheerBear No need to respond. I wasn’t thinking. I know what ever it was is hard to talk about. I also know I could have been off the mark by miles which is a regular occurrence. I hope you are being gentle with your oopsie. I’m sure it will pass.

Re: Just checking in.

It wasn't you @Teej, but me not wanting to bring a happy vibe down with my spinny head.

My middle went well though, which was the very great part of my day. My oopsie is feeling very big as it is an oopsies pregnancy kind of one. I dont know what I am going to do as I am still processing it, but I think it will be something I didn't think I'd do. I feel bad even saying that it isn't something I thought I'd ever do. I firmly hold the belief that we all have the right to choose and would loudly argue that. I've supported friends going through this one and given them my genuine backing., regardless of their choice. My GP will help. Just gotta hold tight until I see her.

Re: Just checking in.

That post is one of the scariest things I have written on here. I'm big breathing, trusting it will be OK that I have shared that. I think I just needed a hug more than anything tonight. I feel scared and alone and have had trouble keeping it all in with a busy house and life happening all around me tonight.

Re: Just checking in.

Oh @CheerBear. I couldn’t have been more off the mark if I tried. I’m really glad today went ok with appointment.

you are not bringing me down. It’s ok. Wow it’s a big one to hold in. Just for the record I don’t think we ever know how we will feel until it happens. I have watched you navigate things as big as this whilst you’ve been on the forum. What I’ve learned about you is that you are extraordinary at weighing up things and reaching a decision. I’ve seen you do it over and over and make the most of whatever you’ve decided. This one is no different in the scheme of things. What ever you choose (if it happens) I know you’ve got this. I know either way will be really hard but you can do either. For the record I have no thoughts of what I think is best or judgement at all about any of it. I, being miss fertility queen of the 90s understand how things can happen.

I hope this helps. You are not alone with this. There is much love and support here for you as I’m sure you’ll find in real life too. More than ok if you are having a freak out about it and want to talk.

Re: Just checking in.

Crying lots @Teej, thank you. I dont think I can tell anyone except medical people in real life. Theres no way my people can have this added to everything else, but how I will hide it I dont know. I tried to talk to the one school mum friend I have this afternoon, but she came to me teary because they are leaving the area at the end of the week and just decided properly today. That one hurt.

I needed a proper cry I think and have had to wait until the house was quiet, which it just has turned. I'm going to sit in a puddle and know it will be OK eventually.

Timing. So much kicking myself tonight 😔

Thank you for listening (and for the hugs that made me feel good).
