Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Hi @Former-Member

All good_ I understand!!

I am hoping you feeling more in control & calmer within yourself. Do you know when you will be able to get your script? Have you spoken to your GP (script).

Goodluck with tafe do whatever is best for you babe. I am ok just feeling really empty and sad- I have been having panic attacks.

I hear what you are saying about tafe and being overwhelmeded by it and more anxious then you normally would be and those feelings are normal.

I have been a bit busy this wk my mum is back in hospital & will be in there for another few wks.

Sorry to hear your mum is in hospital @oceangirl. I hope she is ok. I just started replying on my iPad and it died on me. I think the battery is going 😟 I won't see my GP until Thursday. I really wasn't with the program much in the last few days to do anything about it.

Have you much planned for the weekend?

Re: Just checking in.

My mum will be okay, she is in the best place to get some added support & care.

I hear ya re script it must be frustrating but hopefully you moved forward and will work something out next work. TBH I am not happy how you have been treated- a part of me is jumping up & down. I get passionate about things of that nature. It makes my blood boil. Don't worry I am still with the program lol.

I have a bit planned this weekend, I am going to stay overnight tomorrow down at Tweed and not sure what I will be doing Sunday. I will be doing a gym session tomorrow and some workout on Sunday.

I think you will get more out of the tafe course then the day program. I don't think I will be able to contiue with the day program it depends if it fits with my uni commitments. After Wednesday I don't feel like going back, we were told we can't leave the hospital facility when we are doing the day program- to me that is not right we are voluntary patients and we should be able to come and go has we please. When we where in group the facilitator asked if anyone was paying for the program themselves instead of paying indirectly through their health fund- I never answered the question or made eye contact with her when she asked. To me that is rude and basically really none of her business.

I find the day programs get me a bit depressed most people are not in my age group either younger or older- I don't seem to relate to the older people I do a little in the way they think but not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Its just gets a bit boring having an hour lunch break and then only going back for another hour and its home time.

What do you have planned for the weekend?

Have you changed the day you see your therapist?

Re: Just checking in.

My programs were only an hour for one and an hour and a half for the other @oceangirl. I can understand that you feel like you need more out of it. I don't get to socialise in mine which is ok. I've not had any experience through the private system to know how it works but it does seem a bit strange. Even when I'm in hospital I can come and go as I please.

I'm glad your mum is in a good place for support @oceangirl. It's good you have a busy weekend.
My therapist and I are going to try for Wednesday after tafe. If I'm too wrecked and can't do therapy she'll see me at her other work place out of hours so I'm lucky. She really does have my back. Sometimes I lose sight of it all though.
I have a really quiet weekend. Farmers market tomorrow. Two of my boys going to dig out an area for my garden shed hopefully Sunday. Apart from that I'm still just trying to pull myself together.
I'm going to go to sleep now. Take good care of you. Sending hugs 💜🤗💐

Re: Just checking in.

My program runs from 9am to 2ish and breaks for morning tea and lunch. I think its part of their duty of care incase one of us gets hit by a car or injured, out on our adventure. It has come from management and I see it has more has a control thing, then there duty of care.

I am glad your therapist is helping you, and accommodating to your needs, and flexible with appointments. You seem to be more motivated then I have seen you on the forum before and looking more to the future. I might be wrong but hopefully you are getting more traction. Just focus on one subject and assignment at a time and the more you stick to the timetable and handing work on time, the more you will feel in control, and therefore will increase your self esteem. Goals acheived = increased self esteem.

I will heading off to bed soon too. Sleep tight .......

I am a bit anxious and depressed tonight. Tomorrow I am meant to go to hospital but to be honest I am not sure that I really want to go. I don't want to keep you up with your schedule and you realy need your sleep to function tomorrow. I think I will just go take a shower and do some mindfulness. All the best tomorrow for tafe. Thanks for caring babe.

It's been something you've been thinking about for a while @oceangirl. What is stopping you?
And I want to be here just now for you. 💜😁

I think what stops from opening up, I think that is what you mean. I just have always been like this I think. I get really depressed and unhappy around my dad at times and last night I saw him and we went out to dinner. Its hard to explain how he is like but he can get quite aggressive and he did that last night to me and I think no wonder I am like this. And then I wonder what is so wrong with me.
