Sorry just saw this @eth. Public mental health is still stretched but might work out for you. I know @Mazarita found hers good. I just started with a new phams support worker and that is still skating on ice a bit. We are both very wary of each other. I'm not sure if it will work or not. The other week she had me in complete distress and I had to ask her to leave. However my last phams support worker was brilliant for me, she had to leave because of funding cuts 😔. I'm about to start with a new psychiatrist as the other one has finished his rotation at the community mental health service. Also will probably have to change my care coordinator so I can start DBT so I am feeling very fragile about all my changes. My GPs as I now have two I can see won't deal with my mental health unless there is a psychiatrist leading so I'm a bit in the air.
Please know though that my diagnosis has health professionals running and I think you'll have more luck with getting the right support. I have lots of black marks next to my name for self harming on them so it's self inflicted really.
As far as the NDIS I'm not sure. Possibly @Jacques is going through that process. From memory there hasn't been much conversation about it on here. You could type it in the search bar.
Im so pleased for you that you will have better access to services. Hugs 💜🤗
