Hi all,
As @marchhare posted, we have followed all our processes and procedures. For those who are curious - when there is concern for people's wellbeing, a decision is made about whether to escalate to emergency services or not. This decision is made based on the legal assessment criteria the police use in order to break confidentiality and privacy laws. This is the exact same process as helplines, such as LifeLine use. As you can imagine, there are very strict privacy laws. If the criteria is met, then we are able to escalate, and contact emergency services.
While I know it's easy to jump to worst case scenario, it's important to keep in mind there could be numerous other reasons behind this post. We are concerned too, but we also need to have an open mind.
You are all such great supporters, you did all you could and you all did a great job of supporting Zoe. Uncertainty can be really tough to deal with, in matters like this.Today it's important to take care of yourselves. If you need someone to talk to - please reach out to your supports. Lifeline (13 11 14) or SANE Helpline (1800 18 7263) are just a couple of the options you can contact.
Take care,
Nik
