Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

So sorry you are carrying a heavy emotional load at the moment @Decadian. I'm really glad lifeline helps you. I rang lifeline on Saturday for the first time in a while and it doesn't always help me but it is really nice to hear you always feel better for talking to them. I wish you didn't have TS to stir the pot still, I think it would make a world of difference to you if you didn't have to deal with her. I hope there is some light in your day tomorrow @Decadian. Take care, hugs 💜🤗💐

Re: Just checking in.

@Decadian 🤗❤️🌹xx

Glad lifeline helps you at these times of distress. It may sound crazy but I talk over issues that were unresolved with deceased love ones, or just tell them how I am feeling out loud (when no one is around lol), and it helps as I let it go this way. I believe they hear us. I don't see them lol (this is a good time for the "I dont hallucinate t-shirt). It's my way of releasing. This may helps some but perhaps not all; thought I would mention it in the off chance it may help you release what lies heavy on your heart between you and your mum.

Many around the globe have testified that after they do this sometimes the deceased ones will appear in dreams. Sometimes not but a sense of peace can result. Sending you warm hugs xxxxx

@Former-Member and @Former-Member

It's easy to talk to Dad - I might have something to puzzle out and I ask him out loud what I should do - I don't hear him but ideas come to me

And I feel this in my heart - he says what he did when I was a child - "If you are in the right you don't need to argue and if you are in the wrong you can't afford to - and you know you didn't do anything wrong so you don't need to argue about it"

So it stopped me from arguing with Mum and TS - and Dad did make it up to me - I remember having outings and shooting lessons from him - and he taught me a lot about the classical world and maths -

But I find it hard to talk to my mother even though she is dead - and TS - oh dear - I can only take care of myself and not fall into her traps - it's very difficult - but

I prayed for years for my mother - and I pray for TS - and I am careful what I pray for because I might just get it - so I leave what I ask for to God and tell him I have the door open for her if she wants to play nice

When it comes to Life LIne I think carefully what I want to talk about before I ring - so I have my programme - as it were - sometimes I work it out withouit actually ringing up - I used to be a TC for Grief Line so I know what works for me - I think

I have to go to bed soon - I hope I feel okay tomorrow - I do not like waking up feeling like the undead - which is how I felt this morning

Thanks girls - for your kind thoughts

Re: Just checking in.

Hi @Former-Member

I slept well last night and feel a lot better this morning

And @Faith-and-Hope

I did not think of lighting a candle for my mother - but I feel okay about her today - actually TS has fallen off the radar today as well - though I am expecting papers from her for me to sign - but yesterday has passed

And @TAB

I am seeing my tax accountant tomorrow - and I have to ring up and see if written notes are enough or do I need to hunt through mountains of bank statements and I would rather that than a colonoscopy - I must remember you tomorrow when I go to the accountant

All the best my friend - I know you gotta drink the drink tonight - I will be thinking of you around the time for that -

Yeah

Re: Just checking in.

I have @TAB - indeed I have

What is the purpose of all this torture - to save our lives maybe but hey - can the cure be worse than the complaint?

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww - better you than me - I would rather see the accountant

Re: Just checking in.

I'd say so re cures and complaints @Decadian. I missed a pre admission appointment late last year, figured wasnt happening. Think this is going to be a 'once only' for me. Too much stuff around atm re placebos, vs actual physical invasive stuff and procedures that people would have been better off not having. All about we know best, vested interests and money. Its proven now that unless is found something very early, any other intervention is of little use.Sometimes more harm than good
