not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Hi @Owlunar

I’m sorry your back is achy.

I just finished dinner. My d cooked tacos. She is a good cook and learning more recipes from me 😊

little miss A is so adorable. She runs up to me as soon as I get home snd calls me ”nonna

then she grabs my hand and walks with me to my room so I can change clothes.

Now it’s her bath time snd I’m relaxing on the lounge.

Yeah this weather is not good for your back. Stay warm.

I feel out of sorts tonight.

@Owlunar I know you’re always honest and very open with me. Do you really think I’m improving. How do you see it?

Hi @Shaz51 im sorry you’re in so much Pain.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay, not sure why it would be hapening now. It might be because you are thinking about it subconsciously or from therapy. I can only imagine how horrible and traumatic it would be to go through it. You are safe now. Sending you lots of warmth and love. Try not to let it rattle you to much. Take care and have a good day.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

My ex was the kind of person who repeats himself - I wonder if he ever realised that sometimes what the said actually did make sense and one of those were a couple of line from a Scots poet - Robert Burns - and it goes something like -

"O - had God the gift to give us

To see ourselves as others see us"

Yes - I can tell you some of the ways I can tell you are getting better - or rather - your mental health is improving

1. One is how you stick it out at work - you took on these extra hours for the last few weeks even when you didn't feel well enough and you did it for your family - it has been very hard for you but you stuck with it and it's nearly finished

2, And you are seeing now that hospital isn't the best thing for you. You said - a couple of days back - that you don't get much good out of it - your insight into this has increased.

3. And even though I have been in favour of your going to hospital because you feel so bad you have stuck with your decision not to - you find it hard to be assertive but you have been. True - I have only given you suggestions - but you stuck with your own plans

4. Although your childhood abuse and your anger burst forth at times you are seeing that your relationship with your husband needs a lot of work and you have been trying - just because he doesn't listen doesn't mean that your work in this area is failing - YOU are seeing this better - you have better insight

5. You used to say that you were going to run away and disappear, Now you say you wish you could - your thinking has moved from being actually to wishing

6. You used to fret because your sons were travelling and your daughter had moved out. This bothered you terribly - you couldn't see any benefit in expty-nesting. Now you see this as your next stage of life and normal though it's still not easy.

7. You have issues with your mother but you are talking to her now and make choices about when you will and plan for what you will say about your brother if you get the chance. You are angry with her but I am angry with mine too - that's life - reading though the threads here has helped me see that mother-issues affect many people, you're getting better about her,

8. Your writing is so much better - you are keeping this magical journal that those of us who follow your story read and interact with.

9. You see other people's boundaries better. This is really huge for you because of your BPD -

10. Last one - I had better leave something else for people to comment on - you now write on several social threads - you have started some of your own on Cooking and Snacks and sewing - eg. And you frequently ask other people how we are. Once you couldn't do that

Yes - you still have a long way to go - I know you fear losing your support team if you recover but the truth is that when life is improved to that degree you won't need it - of course - you can stay on the forum while it's here - you don't have to feel as bad as you have in the past and still do more than most peopole

Most of my issues are in the past - but I find it very helpful being here - recovery doesn't mean giving up the friendships you have made along the way

All the best girlfriend - you are doing well

Re: not feeling good

Another bad start @BlueBay

I still have nightmares about my past - I think it could be true that most people do - it's our unconsious mind sorting it out and you have been working hard lately

I think it's possible that the bad weather we have had overnight and still - caused nightmares - I had to watch TV last night - late - woke up as stiff as a board - and what a polar blast we are having today. - Oh yeah!

I am totally fed up and bored with the winter bleakies

And because of the cigarette smoke in your house - and this does happen - you have been triggered about your brother and the abuse

And it is rotten and it is unfair that so much was stolen from you - It's not your fault though - and I can't imagine how it feels to be so betrayed

The idea is to let your mind have full rein for a short time and then put it aside and get on with your self-improvement - you really have come a long way since I have known you -

Re: not feeling good

Good morning @BlueBay

Lovely post @Owlunar ... as always!

Hi @Gazza75 ... so nice seeing you getting around supporting so many people these days. Sound thoughtful advice always.

@BlueBay I dont know why you are having all these nightmares again now either. Clearly something has triggered your anxiety. As Gazza said, it could be the therapy you've been having, or the recent psych appointment. They definitely can be triggering in the short term, but have confidence that in the longer term, they are helping. Its hard to see that sometimes. I am in a similar situation myself, with a psych apt on Wednesday having set me off again. But I do know from past experience that overall I am improving as a result of it all. Dec set out so very well how she, and probably all of us, have seen improvements in you Bluebay. I hope that one day, you too will see and feel those improvements. Slowly your bad days will reduce and your better days will start in increase, often without you even noticing it.

Something else which may be triggering your anxiety is having your little granddaughter so close. She is a child ... and you were a child when your abuse occurred. You love and care for little A very much, and it would be natural for you to be concerned for her ... and to subconsciously see yourself in her ... along with all that you went through as a young girl. I would suggest you talk to your psych about this when you next see them, and perhaps also mention it to your GP who seems to have a good understanding of MH issues.

I expect you are terribly tired today after your disrupted night. I hope you manage to find some calm and restful moments through the day to help you through your day. I am looking to do the same, after getting no sleep last night at all. I feel for you my friend, and will be around through the day if you need to chat.

Sherry 💕

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Owlunar ... so lovely to see you around ... you are so very insightful and knowledgable. You really hit a nerve with me just now with your most recent post. Cigarette smoke! For me that is a huge trigger ... the man who assaulted me smelled of cigarette smoke. Its remained probably my #1 trigger. Our sense of smell is such a strong sense. Usually a memory of a certain smell can bring beautiful memories ... such as lavendar reminding me of my Nan, or the smell of baking bread reminding me of my Mum. But unfortunately that sense is every bit as strong for the bad memories as well.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay

Bad dreams are difficult. I have been having a lot more this year, which is unsettling in the moment, but I was a lot more disturbed overall when I was not aboe to have dreams. I actually think that it is a tidying up process in the mind and a sign that I am getting on top of my issues. They call it Dreamwork.

I agree with @Gazza75 and @Owlunar . It might actually be a positive sign as once we understand the depth and consequences of early traumas and they have been made conscious, we are less likely to slip up and self sabotage.

@Owlunar long post was beautiful and thoughtful and full of the knowledge of having walked with you all this time.
