not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Hi @utopia

I understand what you're saying. But the thing is at the time of my 'spaced out episode' I don't know what i am doing; i don''t have control because i don't know what i am doing.

But yes, after way after i do calm down and see what happened earlier. OK so maybe i haven't done enough mindfulness, distraction skills etc etc. I try but at the time it is very difficult.

I know you are trying to help me and i appreciate your comments. yeah my psych doesn't exdplain things to me at all. so i will speak to my psychologist on friday.

but he is saying i have control at the time of the episode - how do i have control when i am so absorbed in what is going on at the time in my head?

i haven't taken offence. i do try, it's just when i am in my own world of pain i get so caught up in it that it is hard to snap out of if.

@Change123no, not changing meds at the moment. just on the one anti dep. he will wait and see how things go. Maybe that's what i should do - just think of him as a psych for my meds and that's it. after all its only a 1/2 hr session and you can't say much in 1/2hr.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. I don't think you can be in control of such a severe attack. It's all about learning to be in control during little frustrations. And learning to calm down earlier, after an episode.
I can't calm down when things are so intense. Once I get to that point, I need to stomp and scream. So I just keep trying to refocus when something small happens.
I think you need an advocate to attend your psych appointments with you. Because he doesn't listen to you.
Meaning only the best for you.

@utopia

That's the problem with my BPD. The intensity of my emotions are over 10 on the scale. Very high and then it takes a long time for the intensity to drop down and I can be calm again. Like yesterday I was really angry about the extra cost i had to pay while in hospital having those tests - my anger was way above 10 on the scale and it took quite a fcew hours to calm back down.

I will bring this up withy my new psychologist. Yeah, i would love to bring someone with me. Hubby no, there is no one really.

No he doesn't listen to me and I feel that I am 'being a stupid idiot" writing letters to him like a little child. I feel that he just looks at me and he thinks 'what the hell'. I feel their is no genuine concern or empathy. Or maybe it's just me and he is sick of me,

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. That's an awful way to feel. I wonder if one of your friends could go with you. Maybe the friend with the pool? She seems understanding.
I don't understand BPD well I'm sorry. But I know what it's like to go from 0 to 10 in a few seconds. It can be terrifying.

Re: not feeling good

@utopiamy friend with the pool is a full time teacher. she won't be able to come with me. my other friend who i work with can't come either because of work but she did text me today to say she is very worried about me.

i guess i have to be more pro-active in speaking up,telling him exactly how i feel.

yeah BPD sucks. It's the intensity of emotions in such a short time; it's the impulsiveness of doing things that you may regret later on; and all the other symptoms.

Re: not feeling good

BPD seems more intense and harder to control than I imagined.
I wonder if others on this forum have had success with certain treatments.
Hopefully your psychologist will be your main mental health support worker and advocate.

Re: not feeling good

Thanks @BlueBay. Just a temporary job. But it's a start. I've applied for a permanent job with an Aboriginal Organisation, and I hope to at least get an interview for this. It's full time, but only 30 minutes away. And in an industry that I think I would enjoy working in. Fingers crossed. But until then, I'll have some money and can pay off some of my debt.

Re: not feeling good

Are there any mods around. I need to talk. I'm feeling destructive rage again like last week. 😥
