not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

Hi everyone
I've decided to not call or see my parents often.
I've also decided to not eat much st all so I can be thin. I have to lose my weight. It's the only way. I don't walk or exercise because I don't get out of the house fir fear of being looked at and judged. So the only way is to not eat. I hate my mum.
I've been crying this morning in the shower thinking what a cow she is and how hurtful her comments were. She has no idea how hard it is to lose weight when you have a mental illness along with a thyroid condition and throw in menopause as well.
I'm angry this morning as well.
I'm the fattest of my siblings. You she even said "oh you take after dads side ". What the!!
I wish we never spoke.

Hi @BlueBay ......

Hi nutrition foods in smallish amounts are good .... and if they are high nutrition they are are usually also filling, so should help you on terms of appetite ..... but I want to suggest that you eat this way as a awl-nurturing that will result in losing some umexcess weight, rather than making it about your weight ....

Yes, comments like that are so unhelpful, and nothing but hurtful. Restricting time with your parents may also help, if you’re on the receiving end of comments like that .....

Hugs 💙

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay - sounds like a good decision that will help you feel more confident of yourself but wtih those complications of meds, etc it will take a while and it take a while to really 'see' resutls as such... Extra exercise might also have a good effect on your mood more quickly though... I find it easier to change eating habits by replacing things - rather than going without something completely - replace one thing at a time with a healthier option i.e. black tea for herbal tea in the evenings, coke zero for soda water and lemon juice/slice of fresh lemon (not nearly as good but im trying) etc... i was eating breakfast biscuits for breakfast but have swapped that for a piece of fruit and a handful of nuts instead because they have a lot of sugar... i dont usually eat things with a lot of sugar but got into a bad habit of those for breakky... sigh!
I think restricting access with your parents is a good idea as well. And you dont need comments from your mother like that...

Hi @Former-Member<br>I do eat pretty healthy. I mean maybe Not eat at all so I'll lose the weight quickly.

Re: not feeling good

Not eating at all damages your metabolism @BlueBay ...... that can make it harder to lose weight, and cause your body to gain weight more easily, that sort of thing, as well as affecting your moods badly, causes headaches and nausea, you catch viruses and infections more easily .... etc.

I wouldn’t recommend it.

Re: not feeling good

I 100% agree with @Faith-and-Hope here @BlueBay. What not eating at all also does is make your body 'look for' nourishment and if you aren't eating it will be your muscles that are affected - they will begin to deteriortate and it will be even harder to exercise/do things and you will become more unwell. I know this first hand as one of the effects of the chronic fatigue/depression for me was the inability to be able to find the energy to even eat for some time. My muscles (and other parts of my body) have broken down so much that now I find it hard doing simple things like driving. Therefore I absolutetly DO NOT recommend you approach 'losing weight' by not eating - it can actually have the opposite effect - that is if your body begins to 'break down' like mine has you can in-fact put on weight.

The only real answer is a sensible eating plan and exercise - and persistence. One of the things I am working on with my pdoc is doing little things each week to be able to build up to more physical things - this is a very slow process that will take me months to be able to achieve - so the sooner you start the sooner you will see the benefits.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay - i wonder if you would recommend to your daughter the same? I'm guessing that things are really hard today too... As Zoe and Faith have said... not eating at all is far worse for your body and when you do start eating again the body will attempt to store more food quickly incase it happens again... (explained to me by a dietician but cant remember all her words)... Looking after you safely is important...

Re: not feeling good

@Former-Member I would say that to my daughter. I would tell her to eat sensibly and healthy. I won't not eat. I will watch what I eat. I just get so frustrated because I'm not losing any weight.
@Faith-and-Hope I understand and @Zoe I'm listening to you.
