not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

i see @BlueBay

gosh weeks is a long wait though. If things are quite bad would you consider going to the public emergency department? they may have a spot for you even for a few nights?

When i went there they have a ward called short stay (they have another name but i cant actually say it here) but you only stay for 3-4 days. maybe your local area might have something like this?

Re: not feeling good

thanks @Former-Member for your support.

i now know that i have been anxious because of going back to work tomorrow after 8 weeks home after carpal tunnel surgery.

last week i had made a decision to not go back and was hoping to be admitted into hospital by my psych. but unfortunately there is a 3-4 week wait if not more.

i think deep down i know that staying home has escalated my anxiety to go to work. i spoke to my doctor earlier and he is reassuring me that i will be feeling terrible tonight but once i get to work tomorrow morning i will be fine. he wants me to contact him after i finish to let him know.

i am doing a 4 hour shift 8-12noon, so i know it's not a long shift but still my anxiety is high.

i am distracting myself, walk, colouring in my book, play with my little granddaughter.

i am so confused with my decision last week to now today's decision to go to work. i am so insecure with my decisiions, so indecisive.

i may need to chat online tonight with a counsellor.

all these negative thoughts are in my head - run away, hide, self harm, sabotage today is last day as time is running out as i go tomorrow to work. i am trying everythingn in my head to stop tomorrow from coming.

BUT - i think a tiny part of me knows is sabotage and tomorrow will still come.

gosh i am so unstable.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay what normally helps when you feel this way?
what is happening tomorrow thats causing you so much distress? is it the 4 hour shift tomorrow?

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay
its totally normal to feel nervous about going back to work. From my point of view i think you made the right decison. Getting back to this work even for one shift a week will help you to get another job by building your confidence in yourself up, have a routine, and all that comes from working.

perhaps doing something relaxng tonight would be good and remind yourself that its only 4 hours. its a good starting point for getting back into things

I think I'll make a cup of tea and go to bed @outlander

@distraction helps for a little bit but then the thoughts come back
