not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

I agree - it's really rude to turn up late for a family dinner and then use their mobile phones - it's good manners to be on time and leave the phones alone - if I was doing a family dinner that's what I would insist upon

But it is also true that families go their own way in time and that's what happens as hard as it will be for you. They are not abandoning you - they are living the lives you gave them when they were born - my daughter left home when she was 17 and it was okay -

Your Mum is ringing you - she may not know what you need her to say right now but if she's not interferring that's a plus - sometimes we need to understand that people often do the best they can - and it can hurt when it doesn't hit the spot.

And the best one - one of my pet hates - husband in the doorway watching while you cooked - that would bug me - my ex-h would stand in the doorway when we were watching TV and make derogatory comments about what was on or TV in general - I would tell him to move away too - it's so irritating when something like that happens

But to explain - you are in hospital where the food is often indifferent at it's best - life goes on a programme that would suit the group better than the individual - you are having to really examine your life and work things out and this is hard-yards - I totally understand that. I used to hate weekend leave too. To me it would just muddy the waters - I would stay in hospital if I could -

And I really think your family could have made a better effort to appreciate your being home and cooking over the weekend - next time have take-away or frozen pizza - and there's no need to feel guilty about that after their behaviour this weekend

I hope you are feeling better now - this week you will be preparing to go home and this isn't easy either

Hi @Owlunar

I think what I'll do is tell the kids no phones while having lunch or dinner. It's rude.

im getting very anxious as I'm leaving Friday. The anxiety is really high as I'm going home to no job. The fear of msybe nit finding a job is huge. It's my negative tslking I know but it's damn hard to stop it.
Seeing my psych this morning.

Wouldn't it be nice to not have to worry about work.
I hope one day I can not worry about wirk.

Hearing you.

I wondered about the behaviours and attitudes in the house and it totally makes sense you feel used. Not a god way to feel or for them to behave. I also know the difficulty of getting what we ask for, re treating people in family with respect. There are a lot of pressures out there in the world which are very destructive of family values.

DO what you need to manage your feelings and do not take it all on yourself. All the others have some responsibility for their attitudes and behaviours. It makes me sad in this mad world, that we have so much but it is not making us happier.

BB You care and that is a good thing.

ive has a horrible rep nights. Last night I had a panic attack about going home. No job etc. the night nurse gave me a calming med and after sobbing and shaking for about 20 mins i fell asleep. It was the best night sleep.
woke up this morning and decided after breakfast I would go for a walk alone around the block. It was great fresh air.
did group tiday after psychologist meeting. She has seen me three times this admission. Saw social worker today. She gave me a few tips reg work.
saw my psych before and. Told him how scared I am. He was not surprised when I told him I had a panic attack last night. He knew I would have trouble. And he said tonight will be the same. I broke down and he said I can call CAT team or my own psych (as he's back from leave) or poss come back in agsin.
hubby taking tomorrow off work to pick me up.
im really down and the staff have told me I'm very hard on myself snd have no self esteem.

I don't know Whst to do. I feel I'm still adjusting to no job. The anger frustration sadness and numbness of losing my job. It's tough.

Re: not feeling good

hey @BlueBay
not having your job now I can imagine would be really tough in many ways like working through your emotions and also trying to find ways to keep occupied as well.
do you think you could do some volunteer work? maybe you could see about working in an op shop or animal shelter for a few hours a week? that way it gives you something to do, to look forward to, meet new friends and maybe help with working through some of your emotions?
