not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

@Owlunar I went to bed last night and cried. I have zero self love. I have zero self esteem. I don’t have the confidence to do things That’s why I’m glad I have my support people.

Ive looked st admin jobs which I love but am too scared to apply. I then think no I’m not good for that job. I couldn’t do it. And then forget about looking for jobs. Not that I’m leaving pharmacy but just looking.

I was told yesterday my expectations are too high snd that will set me for failure. And also told that I do everything for everyone else and put myself on the bottom. The guy I saw said this snd said I need to put myself first.

Tiday im seeing my doctor and then grocery shopping. Then hair cut in the afternoon. I’ll have to fit a walk in somewhere.

Hope you’re having a great time away.

The weather would be so nice and warm.

Hi @Shaz51 @MDT @Former-Member @Zoe7 @Faith-and-Hope @Maggie @Razzle @Gazza75 and others

Hope everyone has a nice day ❤️❤️

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay ,

It's really positive to hear about all your walking and joining a group for it as well. It's very beneficial to exercise with a group for motivation. (I heard a while ago that its been scientifically proven) I hope you meet some nice people and have a good time with it. It sounds like a perfect number of people as well.

I'd encourage you to try and apply for admin roles that you are interested in. It's good practice to write letters and also have your CV up to date. If you do get an interview for a role it won't do any harm either. It's tricky to get into that space again when you haven't done it for a while. Try and be patient. Maybe your family can help as well, checking your applications and so on.

You have a lot of positive and admirable qualities that perhaps you find hard to see in yourself. I think its fairly common when we got caught up in all of our personal struggles and life.

If you take it step by step and don't put pressure or expectations on yourself it might help build your confidence. It's always easier and better to look for work when you have a role which you currently do. I'm not saying it's easy, but, if you put your mind to it you can definitely do it.

It will get easier and you will get better at it in time. Don't get down if you don't hear back from people or don't land an interview, employers are different these days and are often flooded with applicants. It's not personal. (try not to make your CV to long, 1 or 2 pages is about right)

Recently we went through a restructure and I had to reapply for my position, I also thought I'd have to inerview again, but, it didn't work out that way. It's over 10 years since I had to review my CV and also contemplate an interview.

You have a current role where you no doubt do administration duties, you also manage and run a household which takes a fair degree of skill and admin stuff.

It sounds like you have a busy day which is nice. Fingers crossed you can fit in a walk and the weather cooperates for you. It's a beautiful clear day here today and I hope to fit in a few short walks in at work. I hate being stuck in an office for hours at a time and duck out when I can.

How far away is your holiday? I think you have timed it about perfecly!

Have a great day and take care

Thsnks @Maggie @Faith-and-Hope

Thankyou for your support. F&H love the flowers.

@Gazza75

I lack a lot of confidence.

I currently work in pharmacy. But previous to this job I worked at a tafe processing students enrolments. It was really good but got too stressful at the end. So when govt tafe cuts came in a few years ago I took a redundancy package.

I have always worked in admin. But this job I have now is literally 5 min down the road. It’s just I don’t have enough hours snd the pay per hour is crap $20.

I will see what happens. I think I get too scared of rejection. My CV is up to date

Hope tou het to go out for your walk. It’s actually nice here today.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

I thought about your post a lot yesterday and I am so sad that you (and @Shaz51 ) put yourselves at the bottom - that is not a good place to be - and as a wise young person said to me once - even the dog's body runs over the door mat - I wish both of you felt better of yourselves than that -

You must because in your present place no one will think better of you - only you yourselves can give yourselves a better place in the world -

And BlueBay - when I was doing my HSC as a mature aged student and then later (often) when I was at university - I was told over and over again that this was too much for me and to give it up. It was true that at that time of my life everything was too much for me and I was really battling but I kept going and now - all these years later - none of those nay-sayers are in my life and I have my degree and it enhances my life everyday

So don't let people tell you what is too much for you - that your expectations are too high - only you know that and right now I get it that you are scared of getting into admin again - but as @Gazza75 says you are running a home and you have brought up a family and you also run the finances - you are well and truly into admin - just because you are not in an official position it doesn't lessen your skills

I was thinking "How do we learn to love ourselves?" - I will have to work on that answer but I do remember one day when I woke up - in my early thirties - I was entirely disatisfied with my life - running a house and home so three other people could live their lives - No - this wasn't going to destroy me - I loved my children no less but became a better, happier person when I started to study - a short course to start with. And continued studying part time and went to work - eventually working full time.

It can be done BlueBay - setting your expectations too high can be daunting but as far as a start - you are working at that pharmacy and if you move - see that it's in an area with more employment possibilities - and yes - you might - probably will - get knock-backs - but this is experience

It will only get better if you listen to yourself and not other people telling you what you can't do - and as for being scared - we all have that - you're not alone there

Sending more hugs

Dec

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

That does not sound good at all. You might need to get to a hospital or doctor. Are you alone and can you call 000 if you need an ambulance?

Please get help if you need it,

Whitehawk
