Something’s not right

This is unbearable.

This is unbearable.

Guys, I'm in so much emotional pain at the moment that the thought of keeping going for more of the same just seems pointless. I don't have a life worth living and won't ever have. I've tried everything and no-one in the real world can do anything to help me fix my life. It's just too big a mess. I don't know what to do. I'm so tired of hurting. Existence isn't life.

No private e-mails please. Still safe.

Re: This is unbearable.

I'm back riding the middle road at the moment, @Appleblossom. This certainly isn't a slam dunk, and scientists who have studied these separate disciplines through long careers can still argue for doubt either way. What a cruel trick to play on humanity!

I wasn't distressed about the issue several days ago when @creative_writer suggested that I try something else and give my brain a rest. My question—philosophical? —was what is the purpose of life if it is only to move on another generation? We are in a state of advancing evolution and gaining greater scientific knowledge—so great that we have to break it down into smaller and smaller subdivisions—so, in the scheme of things, is there really no designed purpose?

Anyway, it will occupy me for a while until I settle on the futility of trying to solve it.

My water is back, and I had a long, hot shower that was pure bliss! And now I've settled in under a blanket with books and videos. It's a good day for it. Let's make it a good week!

@Historylover Saw this and thought of you. Not that you are thinking of leaving ...just the questioning ... for me questioning was more a problem with my mother's rigid psychology than the church ...I had many good conversations with religious (even her priests) and they often thanked me for them.

Re: This is unbearable.

Interesting article, @Appleblossom, by the kind of person I had wanted to encounter. We've been given a mind to question, and I will use it so.

I am still questioning the possibility of a Creator. Universal consciousness, near- death experiences, and examples of channeling which I found mind-boggling still require further consideration. The whole matter is a problem at each and every generation, it seems, as people swing from one religion to another, or none. No wonder.

I'm moving into different areas of study at the moment.

Have a good day.

@Historylover

There is also a movie based on this fellow and his journey to 'prove' jesus and the resurrection... you could find it online fairly easily I reckon...

Re: This is unbearable.

Thanks, @Kyle1, but I think the stories told about Jesus were 'not necessarily so'. When people consider themselves party to the 'next big thing' going about, (a messiah, no less!) they exaggerate and falsify to convince others to become members. (You weren't there, so I can tell you any amazing thing). I understand many did not believe that Jesus was the son of a god, but they didn't write accounts about it, unfortunately. So, it all boils down to—do we believe his potentially biased followers? There is just too much that defies belief for my antennaed responses to be subdued. I will consider it further, but at the moment, I have retained my previous incredulity.

As for a creator, a mind behind the universe? I will hold off my final opinion, but I think maybe it is a stretch too far.

I hope all is well down there in Tasmania, and that the weather is treating you kindly.
