Winter solstice

Winter solstice

Longest night of the year and the darkness and coldness have really hit. Things seem really bleak. I've been struggling for a long time and was pacing myself to this point but can't see beyond it. I'm safe but despairing. I'm trapped in a vortex of family dysfunction from earliest years and emotional pain, received and (mea culpa) inflicted. I can't help my closest sibling - all others are estranged - and I don't seem able to extricate myself from personal difficulties and dilemmas that at present ďefine me - I have no connections or other identity. I've lost faith in my mh team.

I guess the sun will rise tomorrow, and I'll keep taking one day at a time, but I can't envision a future, my future.

Re: Winter solstice

Thanks @NatureLover yes starting EMDR again wasn't easy. Memories and emotions flooded back. Maybe that's why I'm so tired today.

Admin seems to have intervened in the craft group. It's been split into 2 cohorts in different rooms. Numbers were down as well. The dynamics are changing and noone dominated this time.

I don't know where I'm going at the moment.

Re: Winter solstice

Yes, you're bound to be drained after the EMDR, @Dimity .

Are you pleased with the outcome of the craft group being split into two, and the group you ended up in? I'm glad no-one seemed to dominate in your group.

Re: Winter solstice

@Shaz51 @NatureLover I guess craft group was peaceful yesterday without the friction between the 2 groups but I liked talking to people in both.

Re: Winter solstice

That's a shame, @Dimity . Are the 2 craft grous held at the same time but in different rooms?

Re: Winter solstice

Yes, @NatureLover , different rooms. I spoke briefly to the other people when we were packing up, they stopped by.

I'm glad you can still sort of see and talk to the people in the other group, @Dimity .

I've hit a wall. Or maybe it's a speed hump I'm overreacting to.
