I'm back

I'm back

Hi @NikNik @pip @Decadian@utopia@Faith-and-Hope@Former-Member@Shaz51@Former-Member @CherryBomb @Silenus moderators and friends

I knew i wouldn't last!! I need you all. who was i kidding. Hubby and I went camping for 4 days and we argued so much about how to put the tent up, which post to use, wrong post, right post, etc etc etc

I couldn't read my book that i bought because he kept talking to me. At the end i gave up. We did walk around the perimeter of the caravan park which took 1/2 hour (huge park). I managed to swim which that gave me some peace and quiet for a little while.

We just snapped at each other most of the time. And when we didn't snap we sat and hardly spoke. he is the type of guy that doesn't say much but i noticed even in the car driving up (3.5 hours) he wouldn't start a conversation. So i just looked up facebook and read the paper, or fell asleep.

The weather was beautiful (25-30 every day). But i realised that i need space to myself. We are home now and he is washing the car, I have just put a load of washing on. the kids survived without us and actually not even keen to see us 😞

My mental state is not that great. The CAT team rang me on saturday to make sure i was okay and asked about my sleeping. The psych i saw gave me some sleeping tablet but i am still adjusting and don't like the drowsiness it causes the next day. I did call them again on sunday afternoon but they had to transfer me to the place that i went to and i sadi no don't worry as hubby was coming back to me anytime and i couldn't speak while he was there.

I have an appt tomorrow to see the CAT team psych again, i also have an appt to see my own psych in the afternoon. it will be interesting to see what he has to say abut me seeing the CAT tem psych.

I knew i wouldn't last being off here, i just needed to tell someone about my weekend. And as for intimacy and sex - well there is none. And it's prob my fault because i told him last time in hospital back in July that i wasn't interested. which is still true but i am sure he would like to.

I feel like a failure for not being able to stay away from this forum, i always have good intentions, set myself a goal but never go through with it. that's where i see myself as a huge failure.

anyway, just thought i would say hi to everyone and that i have missed you all even though it's not even a week. how patethic is that.

@Shaz51

I wonder a lot about the differences between men and women and that glass ceiling was back there in the days of the Cave Man - which type of early human I don't know - but definitely in prehistory there was a woman who got sick of all the animal bones and scraps of hide about the cave and got a stick and tied some brush to it to sweep and from then on men sat back and let the women clean up after them

Not all men would be so lazy of course - and not all women so accommodating - but yeah - because women are naturally cleaner beings - generally - that's the way it panned out and I do enjoy living alone where I can please myself

But yes - I wonder why it is that men have the man-flu and when us girls are off-colour we still have to stir our stumps and butcher the dinner before we cook it - and in this day and age bring home the bacon ourselves as well as cook it too

When I was still married and still determined to do whatever I could to save my marriage I told my MIL we were going to see a Marriage Guidance Councellor and my MIL said ".......will never change" and he didn't. I think he is still as morose and lazy - and so great he is out of my life

Life alone has it's tough points here and there - but somehow is much better - there are a lot of people who live alone and want to stay that way for the rest of their lives and I am dedicated to being one of them

All the best @Shaz51

Hi @BlueBay

I have never had to worry much about birth control so I can't help you with the IUD problems but still I have never been in favour of them so maybe you can recover your health and feel a whole lot better without it

It sounds like good news to me and also - that changing your same to say "baygirl" this indicates that you want to make some small but positive changes in your life - and changing your avatar means you are making a start

Getting so angry is not pleasant but it's anger that has been inside you for a long time - and expressing it here is safe - and whatever you do about your psyche - you will still need some help but maybe that guy is totally wrong for you

I wish you the best - you sound better today - whatever happens - who ever you are - you will get good days and bad days and those ordinary in-between days - but it does sound as if you are making some decisions

Re: I'm back

Hi @Shaz51

I am sorry to hear that you can't have children - and how did you find you only had one kidney? Were you born that way.

I guess you know how life can change when you get involved with a man enough to marry him - all that freedom you once had - wow - and trhen - 2nd wife - can you ever live up to the first - no matter what sort of wife she was? And four step-children - what a lot to take on!

And now you have ill-health yourself and your husband has MI - and doesn't want to co-operate

Aw - what rotten odds

I like going to bed late and then getting up late and enjoying what I do when I want to do it but now it has to be co-ff-ee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably black and sweet -

So how are you today and I hope your day is as good as it can reasonably be

@Decadian

Hey there Dec :D:D:D

Another night owl 🙂 (was painful at school, up all night doing homework, so always late for school hahaha )

I get mucked up when the grandchildren here, though. I do let them sleep in if they like, so up at 8 instead of 7 🙂

Re: I'm back

Hi @Shaz51 🙂

What age are the children?

Can you go away for a couple of weeks holiday, just you, and enjoy "me time" ?

The family must have survived between first wife and you, so, even if you stay at a friends or family and still go to work, just take care of you for a little bit, recoup, re-create 😉

Hugs 🙂

Re: I'm back

Hi @BlueBells

I have always been a nerd - painful that way. I am still so interested in nearly everything I can't turn myself off at times

Anyway - at school I had to be there at 8.30am and my parents bought a house on the other side of the city and I went to the same school and I had to get up at around 6.00am and this was not explained to me - just Mum dragging me out of bed before I was ready - I got into the habit of it -

But now I live with a bad spine and the medication I take makes me slow down - and it takes me ages to be interested in getting up in the morning - I like to read -

And I like the evenings - I like being on line or doing whatever I find to do - I can read for hours -

I seem to have become a member of the night owls club and I like it

The more the merrier

Re: I'm back

Hello @BlueBells

Thank you xx

the children are all adults now , have their own lives now xx

The family must have survived between first wife and you --- they sure did

I knew their mother when we were teenages for a little while , she is nice but controlling , I think her way of coping was screaming at everyone everyday , wants to control everypart of their lives

I try to tell the children that she is still their mum,

Re: I'm back

Gee @Shaz51

Some people get all the luck - NOT

When I was growing up I had a friend with congential rubella - that has to be a rough start - when my son had rubella I didn't notice - he had a heavy cold with glands in the back of his neck - he was not quarantined because neither I nor the doctor noticed any rash because of his skin colour

But a couple of weeks later dd caught it - very obvious - and we were quarantined - which was healthier for the pregnant public and there were many around me in those days

Now people get vaccinated - which is a good idea

When it comes to the one kidney thing - I had one ovary left that had a cyst that required investigation and I was having an ultra-sound - full bladder - the works - and the techie asked me to let a little urine off - she couldn't see easily - and finally asked me if I had a uterus.

Ah - no - no wonder she couldn't find it - still laughing about that - I never thought to mention it - I do have the old type large scar -

Anyway - your step-children got a good deal with their step-mother but yes - their mother is still their mother.

And mother's still have to earn their children's respect - mine never managed to get mine - alas

We can only do our best
