I'm back

I'm back

Hi @NikNik @pip @Decadian@utopia@Faith-and-Hope@Former-Member@Shaz51@Former-Member @CherryBomb @Silenus moderators and friends

I knew i wouldn't last!! I need you all. who was i kidding. Hubby and I went camping for 4 days and we argued so much about how to put the tent up, which post to use, wrong post, right post, etc etc etc

I couldn't read my book that i bought because he kept talking to me. At the end i gave up. We did walk around the perimeter of the caravan park which took 1/2 hour (huge park). I managed to swim which that gave me some peace and quiet for a little while.

We just snapped at each other most of the time. And when we didn't snap we sat and hardly spoke. he is the type of guy that doesn't say much but i noticed even in the car driving up (3.5 hours) he wouldn't start a conversation. So i just looked up facebook and read the paper, or fell asleep.

The weather was beautiful (25-30 every day). But i realised that i need space to myself. We are home now and he is washing the car, I have just put a load of washing on. the kids survived without us and actually not even keen to see us 😞

My mental state is not that great. The CAT team rang me on saturday to make sure i was okay and asked about my sleeping. The psych i saw gave me some sleeping tablet but i am still adjusting and don't like the drowsiness it causes the next day. I did call them again on sunday afternoon but they had to transfer me to the place that i went to and i sadi no don't worry as hubby was coming back to me anytime and i couldn't speak while he was there.

I have an appt tomorrow to see the CAT team psych again, i also have an appt to see my own psych in the afternoon. it will be interesting to see what he has to say abut me seeing the CAT tem psych.

I knew i wouldn't last being off here, i just needed to tell someone about my weekend. And as for intimacy and sex - well there is none. And it's prob my fault because i told him last time in hospital back in July that i wasn't interested. which is still true but i am sure he would like to.

I feel like a failure for not being able to stay away from this forum, i always have good intentions, set myself a goal but never go through with it. that's where i see myself as a huge failure.

anyway, just thought i would say hi to everyone and that i have missed you all even though it's not even a week. how patethic is that.

Hi @Former-Member

I started knitting while i was in hospital. The staff encouraged it and actually they had a huge basket with different coloured wool and patients just started knitting.

I am glad I have inspired you to do some sewing. Any plans of what you may sew? I did sew years ago when my children were young, i used to sew dresses, tracksuit pants and tops and skivvies. I did go to a community centre at night and learn how to sew. It was good.

Now I really enjoy knitting and yeah I guess it is mindful. Otherwise if I wasn't mindful i would lose a few stitches!!! and that would be disaster 🙂 xxoo

Re: I'm back

Dropping stitches is why I quit knitting, not my cup of tea. Don't mind crochet though. With sewing I'm forever mending things, and sewing squares together for quilts, and doing alterations. Much prefer hand sewing than the machine, but when I'm organised & can find everything - its certainly quicker & a must for large projects.

Have to rush off to apt, catch up soon

Re: I'm back

@BlueBay. I can do very basic knitting. But can't do different coloured yarn to make a Pattern. I should say - I've never been shown how. And my ability to be patient and learn something new - has not been great since my MI ddiagnosis.
I've been taking it easy these last few days. Over did the excitement last Friday & now have zero energy. And unfortunately I've constant headaches every day - since I hit my head. So I'll get my doctor to check it out when I see her on Thursday.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to be a support for you these past few days. I just couldn't do more than function myself. But even so, I was still thinking of you and was glad to see the Forum Family supporting you.

Re: I'm back

@Faith-and-Hope I hit my head on the 6th - when I did the big guided walk and story time. As people were coming out through the cave - I was telling them to watch their heads - as the exit point was low. While doing this I stepped back and up & my head got whacked right in the center of the skull by a huge thigh size branch hanging vertically. So I pretty much pushed my head up into it. Lol. Only I would hit my head while trying to make sure nobody would hit theirs on the rock roof.

Re: I'm back

Bloody huff n puff husband. He was ranting because the garage door was open. I went outside and hadn't closed the door with the remote. Would have later but he got in before me. He says "god they (me) leave the door open I may as well leave all the doors open". By now I was fuming 😤 I answered back "I was going to close it later" and then said "you carry on about the most stupidest things" there's other things to worry about instead of the garage door. <br>End of rant ☹️️ Now you all know why I'm like the way I am. He just annoys me off so much lately.

You hit the nail on the head. @BlueBay hubbies need to actually care a bit more about their spouses than silly little things .. to me its a complete overreaction for a silly oversight.

Re: I'm back

@Appleblossom he does stupid things like that all the time. For eg. the kids don't shut down the computer at night and he rants and raves that he is the 'ONLY ONE' that does it. He then checks the back door if it's locked and says to himself (but loud enough for me to hear) see no one here locks the doors, if i don't check no one else, i may as well leave them open like everyone else. no one else cares so would should I. he just goes on and on and on.

But he never asks me 'how was your therapy session today"; or even last thursday when i had my last session with my therapist of 5 yrs - he never even asked me, he could very well see i came home upset my eyes showed it but no he never asked. It just shits me so much.
