The Pole Star Moved

The Pole Star Moved

just tears...birds

pressed through the riddle fly now in filaments flung from a rug

something bad has happened. and I came here...(something good happened and i came here, too) and something bad is bulging this way again. i don't know what it is but feel the windows shudder

I wasn't referring to that rubbish, @Kyle1. The Voice in our Constitution!

oh gosh... sorry @Historylover I'm still completely ignorant.

So, 13deg... I don't supposed you have wood heating for the winters??

How do you normally handle the winter months @Historylover ?

Re: The Pole Star Moved

I suffer in (mostly) silence with the cold, @Kyle1. I put the heating on only in the direst necessity...today could be just such a day. I feel chilled to the bone. To what depths do your daytime temperatures go in Winter with those arctic breezes?

Re: The Pole Star Moved

that's just how I felt yesterday... my femurs were like ice rods until at last I lit the fire and sat in front of it for an hour.

Crazy thing is, when I dropped the children at school I watched an entire gaggle of highschoolers breeze on by in shorts and polo shirts!

I'll let you in on a little apple isle secret @Historylover ... spring time is the most challenging. In my time living here winters have been fairly mild. Inland nsw has harsher frosts, for instance, than anything I've experienced in the Huon Valley.

Highschoolers feel nothing, @Kyle1. They are impervious to rain too.

I think my conversation is moving into the realm of prattling, so I'll leave you with best wishes for an enjoyable day. ⛄
