Something’s not right

The Pole Star Moved

The Pole Star Moved

just tears...birds

pressed through the riddle fly now in filaments flung from a rug

something bad has happened. and I came here...(something good happened and i came here, too) and something bad is bulging this way again. i don't know what it is but feel the windows shudder

Re: The Pole Star Moved

@Kyle1, I must say Aboriginal culture is very interesting. I didn’t know much about it until I started my course despite growing up in Australia. Social work has been an eye opener

What is your ancestry @creative_writer

You mentioned Asian--is that Pakistan? More southern India, maybe? Singapore?

Re: The Pole Star Moved

@Kyle1, Pakistan. It’s an interesting how 77 different languages are spoken in one country, though I’m guilty that I only know the official language

Re: The Pole Star Moved

@Kyle1, lol. We speak English, Urdu and unglish.
We have different ethnic groups within the country like Afghanistan and India

Re: The Pole Star Moved

@Kyle1, only a handful of the languages are commonly spoken too

Re: The Pole Star Moved

Re our earlier conversation @Kyle1 I must add—'Why the modern man isn't what he used to be' was the description given for Misanthropology. I remarked that I had made a similar study myself, but should have clarified that applied to both sexes. There is such a lot of gender confusion going on these days re what it is to be a man, woman, but there seems to be no thought of what it is to be a child in these days of confused gender identity. Anyway, I just thought I should elaborate on my comment.

I hope you have a pleasant weekend ahead. 13 degrees here.

hi @Historylover

And good morning.

I've awoken today thinking about scripture. and the resurrection. and about those gospels where, after conquering death, the jesus christ first appeared to women, and how in an otherwise patriarchal society, to even make note of such is exceptional...

and now I'm reminded of 'Mungo man'. Have you read about him before?

Based on the spacings between his footprints in the mud ( and they were impressions left only from one of his feet) it is estimated that Mungo man must have been so fast that in comparison, usain bolt is rather a dawdler afterall...!

Re: The Pole Star Moved

I haven't read a great deal about Mungo Man, @Kyle1, or Mungo Lady. Faster than Usain Bolt? Hmmm.🤔 Yet it is also said that he had one leg and arthritis. I guess there was a need to outrun your next meal, but that does seem a little hard to imagine.

Have you decided how to vote on the Voice? I think I have decided, then I swing the other way, then back again. I am now rather bewildered.

Re: The Pole Star Moved

nah...I don't watch television @Historylover

I did see some recently. it was the same commercial I seen twenty yrs ago.

But then the kids found a Jackie Chan movie and it was good to just share a chuckle for the night.

I do like docos and films, though. If I'm in the mood, I'll look one up on my phone.
