Safety feeling

Safety feeling

I wanted to share that when I can and I am feeling anxious; I have a weighted (blanket) doona which makes me feel more secure. Just in case I can help someone if they like the idea.

Re: Safety feeling

Hi @Oaktree . Yes I hear you.. I bought mine a few years ago. If I wanted 1 right now I probably wouldn’t spend more of the banks $ after having to outlay about $4k in the past few weeks! 😥 All the more reason for me using the blanket.

Mine is quite heavy. I think from memory it is 12kg. I like it that way.

Re: Safety feeling

I definately think that I should save up for a weighted blanket to use on the couch. It would be no good in bed because I throw my covers off.

From what I understand you use them when you are awake anyway.

Re: Safety feeling

It's funny - I panic with any weight on me, even a regular blanket! Even layers of winter clothes, sometimes! But I've never met anyone else who does.... Anyone?

@NatureLover it's funny how we are all so different and different things soothe us.

Is there anything you use to make you feel safe or at least comfortable?

Re: Safety feeling

@Snowie I have to throw off the covers and take the outer layers of clothing off, even in winter. I wish I could spend all winter in T-shirt and shorts - I don't like my arms or legs being covered. Wearing long pyjama pants or socks in bed definitely makes me panic. I wish I could meet someone else with this problem!
