Safety feeling
I wanted to share that when I can and I am feeling anxious; I have a weighted (blanket) doona which makes me feel more secure. Just in case I can help someone if they like the idea.

Hi @Down2
I have a weighted blanket and use it all year round.
I find them super comforting and so soothing. I use it every night when I sleep and find it helps a lot.
Perhaps other people find something similar that has that safety feeling. I find hugging a teddy also gives me that safety feeling.

It doesn't take all the anxiety away @Down2 but it does help me. Cuddling a pillow also helps me too. The other thing that helps me is a heat pack. I only use it when it's cold but I find the heat from one of them helps me.

Hi guys @Down2 @Snowie @Shaz51 @FloatingFeather @hanami
Thanks for the tag here Shaz.
I have considered getting a weighted blanket before and my daughter has one but I haven’t actually bought one of my own yet. I hear they come in different weights. Not sure which weight would suit me. The other thing holding me back at the moment is the expense.

@Oaktree they are expensive but for me it was well worth it. I use it during the day too when I am sitting on the couch. I find it very comforting.
Maybe you could borrow your daughters first and try it out to see if it worth buying one yourself.

@Snowie
I can’t borrow my daughter’s as she has moved overseas.
Good idea though.
