My Place

My Place

Hi guys,

I just wanted to have a thread where I could talk about things that make me happy without bothering anyone else.

So on Sunday a week ago I planted some seeds into a metal tub. Some veggie seeds. Carrots, garlic chives and although it’s not the season for it I threw in some cucumber seeds.

Well yesterday, only a week after planting I noticed my first little green shoot. Then today, there are a bunch of green shoots. Funnily enough I think it’s the cucumbers that have come up first. I may have to make a cloche to help them grow in the cooler weather. The tub is sitting on a concrete path so hopefully that will help keep the soil a bit warmer. I moved them a bit more into the sunshine today as we noticed that the carport was casting shade on them quite early in the afternoon.

I am so happy to see their green little faces pushing up from under that dark earth. Gives me hope in all things. I love to watch things grow. It makes me happy to think that I have played a part in that.

Every day I water them and have a chat with them. How are you today my seeds? I hope that you will grow soon! Now I can encourage them to grow bigger and stronger.

I can’t wait to set up my other veggie garden and grow more things. I am especially looking forward to planting my tomatoes come spring.

have forgotten pile of guitars I accumulated since coming here.

have a pool (for me to lie in when desperately hot) sitting in box, also 2x4 metre shadecloth, same, plus a flash blind and exercise bike still coming . I had gone mad with purchasing therapy, but all stuff that is needed.

Hi, just wondering how your recuperation is going?

You know when I was a kid I wanted to be an author. Back then I used to write my own comics. I would write them down and my Sister typed them up. One day I showed my school principal my comic and he didn’t believe that I had made it up myself so I stopped writing. Over the years I have mentioned my desire to write to my husband but he is not very encouraging! I think if I do write a book it would be next to impossible to get published. I don’t know if it matters. What do you think? Should I try? We are talking a year or more of writing a story!

Miss you my friend,

Meggle

Re: My Place

Sorry @Oaktree . Pretty full on in here but will catch up on the weekend. Thats the plan, and the short version.

Should you write a book you ask. Yes..But I could be the wrong person to ask. Without thinking, its a no brainer, an obvious, yes, from me. But then, I'm a fellow that has spirals of thought bubbles scribbled on

anything I can gouge on, perched on every dusty crevasse n cranny in my home, and mind.

See, its not about anyone but you. You have to laugh and cry with it when its done. What lived in you now lives on the pages. The . . dealing with it is now, Done, complete.

My best stuff is for me. No one will ever read it, and the understanding of it, . . well it would frighten me more than a little, to think some one out there could.

I say. . . pull back your sleaves and dive your hands deep into your liver. Defile those innocent bleached white parchments with every last drop of your bile n blood. When you've washed your

your hands down with the tears of depleted emotions, You will find in those trembling, white knuckle hands, your masterpiece.

Well, You asked. Thats my theory. Write Meggle , Write.. tonys..
