My Place

Hi guys,

I just wanted to have a thread where I could talk about things that make me happy without bothering anyone else.

So on Sunday a week ago I planted some seeds into a metal tub. Some veggie seeds. Carrots, garlic chives and although it’s not the season for it I threw in some cucumber seeds.

Well yesterday, only a week after planting I noticed my first little green shoot. Then today, there are a bunch of green shoots. Funnily enough I think it’s the cucumbers that have come up first. I may have to make a cloche to help them grow in the cooler weather. The tub is sitting on a concrete path so hopefully that will help keep the soil a bit warmer. I moved them a bit more into the sunshine today as we noticed that the carport was casting shade on them quite early in the afternoon.

I am so happy to see their green little faces pushing up from under that dark earth. Gives me hope in all things. I love to watch things grow. It makes me happy to think that I have played a part in that.

Every day I water them and have a chat with them. How are you today my seeds? I hope that you will grow soon! Now I can encourage them to grow bigger and stronger.

I can’t wait to set up my other veggie garden and grow more things. I am especially looking forward to planting my tomatoes come spring.

I know what you mean. My daughter and I talk about the drag queens as if they are our mates lol! I used to watching Beverly Hills Housewives all the time. Soooo much drama lol

Hello @TAB the chemist sells Clove Oil which is specifically used for toothache - it says so on the bottle - you just get a cotton wool tip and put the Clove Oil oil on the tip then apply to your tooth. It will stop the pain. It can't hurt you. Ask the chemist and say you have toothache. I have some on standby for toothache. All these things going wrong in your life.

I got an email from a discounted food place called NQR (Not Quite Right) there was filtered unsweetened almond milk for $1 a carton I bought a months supply. I saved $32 this month on my grocery by going to NQR and getting almond milk plus my Everyday Extras with 10% off/month with with Woolies ($50) and 10 x $1 booster points ($10) Talk about this Taurean energy passing new moon phase we are experiencing!!! BUDGETING!

I have decided to use all the ends of my juicing celery so that I will save on celery costs. That will save $18/week, which is $72/month

So it means next month's grocery I would have saved $164. Not calling out lawnmower man. The grass isn't long just a bit fuzzy looking. During this time of year it hardly grows
