Piecing the shattered glass together

Piecing the shattered glass together

I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together

I was fortunate - this blend is locally made. It is mixed with sphagnum, and almond, and it's given to help a vulnerable heart stay protected I'm told.

It does smell quite lovely.

I know what you mean, though: @creative_writer there used to be a coffee I would buy from the supermarket. And just when I got in a groove they discontinued the line...

@Kyle1, perfumes can be a natural antidepressant, humans are very sensory. I know I have very sensitive senses, but I am also a highly sensitive person

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together

that's OK @creative_writer my apologies.

I know I can be obtuse sometimes...

Metal.

Well, remember I started talking about how putting my mind onto something 'other' had occasionally been helpful for me?..

And as our conversation took its course you mentioned being sensitive...

I mentioned metal as an offering for you to meditate on...

What are the properties of metal?

What are it's varieties?

How is it utilised and valued?

What, of these things, might you find meaningful and be able to use or apply, psychologically, or spiritually, in relation to your sensitivity?

@Kyle1, I understand it now, thank you for clarifying. I hope you are doing well today ❤️

I've realised that I'm in one of those really agitated, sort of energised depressive episodes, it's quite unsettling, but uni can't wait, I just have to get it done

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together

@Kyle1, how I am feeling is so confusing. Am I depressed? Am I elevated? I guess both🙁. This is so f***ing annoying. The thing is, I've probably been this way since Friday night but never realised, and the agitation was probably building up prior to then too. My thoughts are racing, my heart is racing, I can't slow down, I can't think or concentrate. As long as I come out alive, that's what matters. The issue is, I actually have the energy to do something self-destructive but I have to try to resist. This morning is torture. This won't last, right? Right now, panic shall be my personality.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together

Yeah, sounds like what happens to me when I am anxious... It doesn't last.

I know it' may be easier said than done, but can you try find an outlet for this energy? Like a brisk walk? Or swim? It sounds like you have an assignment to get done. Though an hour to channel this energy could be time well spent... ? @creative_writer

Do you have any 'take as required' meds for times like this?..

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together

@Kyle1, it can last for quite a while, it's annoying, I don't want to end up like this for a week or longer. I don't even consume a lot of caffeine but feel like I've overconsumed caffeine or some other stimulant
