I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@tyme, I guess I’ve grown up in Australia, things work differently for me. Like I know there are guys who would involve their parents in everything, but I would not want my partner telling my in laws everything about my personal life. It’s nobody business whether I am being treated for MI apart for me and my future partner. I don’t even know why have a mental illness puts you in the broken category, like culturally it would affect your career, reputation and marriage, it’s ridiculous. I need someone who would accept the good and bad. I don’t think getting off meds is the right thing right now too, SI is still there 😢. I really shouldn’t be looking at a poem I wrote during my low point last year, but I have tonight. I really don’t want a repeat of last year, July was awful

I think I rather sink into the earth than reach out and talk about the chaos in my mind.

@amber22♥️🫂. I had a GP appointment today, just need to get a blood test done, my body has been suffering physically too. I swear my hands weren’t this swollen before.
Hi @Shaz51, I hope your infection has settled 🫂💖

@tyme, I’m really struggling to get out of this dark place. I know I’m self sabotaging my own MH and physical health by allowing these thoughts to take over.

Perhaps it's about balancing these thoughts out? Otherwise, one can get into the habit of thinking a certain way and it can absolutely take over @creative_writer .
However, these thoughts obviously stem from somewhere. I read between the lines that there's a lot of hurt.
