Piecing the shattered glass together

Piecing the shattered glass together

I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

MI can often be out of our control @creative_writer ... And that, in part, compounds the problem.

I do you hope you know you aren't alone. Many of us here at the Forums know times like these can be like that...

What's more, your earlier post tonight was very poignant and touching.

You are, indeed, a writer after all !! It's a gift - in the darkened corner of loneliness to still touch someone.

@Jynx, humans are incredibly complex and confusing. Only been noticing this recently, I get this feeling like it’s not meant to be evening, maybe I still feel jet lagged from daylight savings even though it’s been a while since the clock turned

Hi lovely @Shaz51, I hope you are well 💖

@Kyle1, MI is so out of control, you never really know, the worse happens so suddenly, the difficult feelings and thought intrude like unwanted visitors.

@creative_writer Yes...

I've described it to my counsellors before that it's like being blindsided...

A bolt from the blue...

Slapped out from nowhere...

And then it can really snowball from there...

Did you manage to take your magnesium today?

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together

@Kyle1, depression is certainly something. I feel like simple words do it no justice, poetry captures it so much better. I can never get myself to journal, I write every now and then. I took my supplements today 🙂

@Shaz51, oh no, I hope the kidney infection clears up soon. I think pesky viral infections are going around. My sister came down with something, I have the milder version of something too xx

@Shaz51, I hope the doctors appointment goes well. I’ve been noticing that all the good doctors get booked out so quickly now.
