I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

@Kyle1, didn’t know that about tahini. I think ideally you should be getting all your nutrients from food, it doesn’t always happen in an ideal world. It’s not always about whether you’re eating enough of a vitamin or nutrient, it’s also about whether you are absorbing it. Illness and chronic stress can also deplete the body. Maybe in the future, we would be better equipped at tailoring meds and diets according to our genes too.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
yes. @creative_writer
It takes a big investment of time to go through the trial and error of discovering just what works for us by way of diet - let alone meds!!
It would be great if GPs could just tell us what's best to eat after a quick blood type analyses or somesuch.... alas, it's up to us to get it figured out.

@Kyle1, I sure hope healthcare improves in the future so we didn’t have to trial and error. I’m going to doze off. Goodnight 🫂💖

As the sun sets, the light in my heart fades............if that wasn't enough I have a migraine now.

Like silhouettes on a wall, maybe just a flutter is the fading after all...

Oh, that's a scary place...
Have you acted on it? @creative_writer
Please stay safe.
It isn't too late, and I know you have a headache...but can you take a ten minute walk? ...

Sitting with you @creative_writer. Anything you want to offload? What do you think you need right now?

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@Kyle1, I am safe, wish I wasn’t
@Jynx, I’m not sure what’s wrong with me, I can go from mildly depressed to really depressed, particularly when transitioning to the evening. Once I start feeling like crap again, I sort of ruminate and get annoyed, I can’t explain this, it feels like it’s out of my control, I feel so useless, alone, too broken

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
Mm could be any number of things @creative_writer - lack of sunlight, quieter, less people to talk to, fewer things to do, world starts to wind down and so there's more time to be spent alone with thoughts. Could also be a trauma-trigger - some wacky wiring that associates the evening with low mood, hence feeling like it's out of your control. Definitely doesn't mean you're broken.
