Piecing the shattered glass together

Piecing the shattered glass together

I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

Interesting indeed...

I write poetry too, sometimes... Have a little trouble these days, though I'm told I should dive in, none the less. For therapeutic affect or something like that.

Easier said than done!

@creative_writer If ever you'd like share, I'd love to read you!

I’m not surprised you write poetry @Kyle1. You seem like a good writer from your posts. Sometimes it’s hard to find motivation and inspiration, sometimes depression just dulls that spark within you. I personally find writing is the easiest when every single cell in my body is energised.

Yes, exactly! @creative_writer

That's what inspiration is about, isn't it?

@Kyle1, though some of my poetry is bizarre. I have depressing poetry, I have poetry about feeling euphoric and invincible, and I have poetry inspired by fictional characters.

@Kyle1, maybe one day, when I feel brave enough. I’ve had dinner, have you had a nice evening meal yet?

Sure did... but ate too much!

Now I feel belly ache on top of bluesome.

I got excited about poetry and ate without mindfulness 🤭

@Kyle1, Iol 😂, I hope your belly feels better soon. I don’t eat mindfully, but I really should. Ideally we should be living our lives mindfully, but it’s hard in practice.

It is... @creative_writer

You know, i used to be able to do it: live mindfully. But that's when I had no concerns or distractions. A totally shut off and selfish life.

Reminds me of a little rhyme I read back in highschool.

"It's easy enough to be pleasant

When life flows like a song.

But the one worthwhile

Is the one who can smile

When everything goes dead wrong"

@Kyle1, depression, anxiety and traumatic memories all make it hard to live mindfully 😞 . All we can do is keep trying, piece by piece.
