I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@Paperdaisy, was learning about loneliness in my course, I guess that triggered it. I didn't expect to be this triggered. It's probably safer for me to have this online class right now, and will help me resist SI for an hour and a half. I've had dinner and prayed, so ready to start up now.

That's hard @creative_writer I had a similar thing happen during my degree. It can be uncomfortable to sit with our triggers.. something I'm trying to get better at! I have sent you a check in email 🤗

The pieces of pottery were shattered, worthless and useless... but they eventually became something greater than the former - hang on to that one @creative_writer

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@Paperdaisy@tyme, I’m feeling a bit better now. It helped to distract myself with something productive for a bit. I really want to be able to get through my degree and work, but sometimes I second guess myself. I want so much from life, just don’t know how to get it. I want a career. I want to feel connected and feel loved by myself and other people. I want to be healthy, physically and mentally. I want peace.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
I woke up cranky as I always do and ate breakfast hoping I would feel better, but now I feel nauseous and head feels a bit heavier now, I sure hope I don’t get one of those bad migraines. A great start to the day 😣.

Hi @creative_writer
I really hope you don't get a migraine and the nausea subsides. Do you have uni today?
Warmest wishes
Hanami

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@hanami, nausea has subsided but I still feel heavy in my stomach. I think I'm tired from all the bad migraines, I find myself having an increased need for sleep, I don't know if that migraine or depression or both. I don't have uni but I have a lot to get through.

Hi @creative_writer,
Doesn't sound like the best start to the day. What a shame eating breakfast has made you feel sick - no doubt it's probably not helping your mood much. I really hope as the day goes on you start to feel a lot better and the day turns out to be a good one for you.
