I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@FloatingFeather, I am utterly exhausted physically and mentally. Have so many emotions within me but don't have the energy to express them. I just want to feel loved and cared for by being my authentic self, but I just find it hard to be my true self around people. I can't help wonder, would people still love me if they knew about all the big emotions I experience?
I also want someone to tell me the trauma isn't as bad as I made it out to be. I feel like I've lost so much. I'll never be who I used to be.

On the edge now but I'm used to it.

It’s awesome when you have so much to do but have a migraine and feel nauseous, and not to mention, uni tom.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
A part of me wishes I wasn't safe, I feel like I'll just be forgotten. I am useless. I am always getting physically sick and my MH is a disaster. I don't know why my peer support appointment and chat with SANE aren't enough, I guess I'm too sick. I'm sorry.

Hey @creative_writer ,
I hear it is terribly hard at the moment. There is so much at play - more than just MH.

@tyme, just waiting right now on the phone. I feel like an idiot for reaching out again on the same day.

Be gentle with yourself @creative_writer . Consider, would you ever day those things to someone you were supporting? e.g. "You're an idiot for reaching out twice on the same day?"
I have to say I'm also guilty when it comes to kind self-talk. But we've got to start somewhere.

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@tyme, maybe I need to listen to my imaginary older sibling more. I feel like the child me needs to be comforted by a caring adult. I don’t know how to self-talk directly with myself, maybe I just feel too worthless right now.

Hugs @creative_writer . Let your inner child teach you at this time. Learn from your child self.
