I decided to start a new thread, my new chapter in my life is going to focus on healing my traumas, building resilience and self-worth and taking the steps of achieving mood stability. I am praying this year will be better than the last. Last year the SI got really intense, was so close to losing hope and I felt like my heart was breaking into a million pieces like shattered glass. It all still feels overwhelming, I have a long way to go on my healing journey, but I think I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful about the future.

@tyme, I feel like my tolerance is not as bad as it used to be, but this content was really explicit, so it felt worse. Maybe worth flipping through slides before lectures so no surprises pop up. I do tend to freeze in the moment and my brain stops working. And I may have engaged in low grade self harm to cope too, nobody noticed anything and I won’t end up with scars, but still not the most healthy coping strategy.

Hi @creative_writer
Sorry you're not feeling good. How have things been with you? I've been away for a week so just catching up. I'll be off soon but I can ask @tyme to check on you later to see if you're feeling any better.
Hugs
Hanami

Sorry to read you are feeling down @creative_writer. It's not a nice way to feel. Is there something you can think of to do today that you think might help lift your mood a bit?
Sending hugs,

Re: Piecing the shattered glass together
@hanami♥️ I was triggered pretty badly at uni yesterday from a case study. I froze when I was triggered. I felt so awful afterwards, was really teary and irritable.
@FloatingFeather♥️, I’m making myself dinner and will do some more self soothing stuff like grounding, and might try the leaf and stream exercise. My thoughts have been bothering me so much today. I know they’re not true, but can’t seem to convince my brain.
