Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 Kids helpline is good too. When I was with them I was able to have a regular counsellor which was good. I find Lifeline a hit or miss too, even though I’ve volunteered there. I hope to continue when things settle down.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah they are I have a regular one I talk too.

Lifeline omg I talked to a lady on the phone and she was like are you going to hurt yourself now or not and said then go walk around the house and you’ll be fine and hanged up on me I couldn’t believe it.

Also eheadspace isn’t very good they complain when I contact them and are like try this and this which are things they have suggested or I’ve already done before which don’t help and why I’m reaching out in the first place.

The system really is broken in parts. I hope in the future it will get better @creative_writer

Re: Tw Not Coping

I'm sorry you had these experiences @Birdofparadise8 .

As much as it can prevent you from contacting them again, if in need, please do. As I said, you never know who you'll get on the other side!

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah I still use them as you said I may get someone nice.

You got a busy day tomorrow @tyme

Re: Tw Not Coping

I think my day is a little unpredictable tomorrow. Now that we are heading to the end of the year, there's work to finalised things for this year, as well as preparing for next year. Work never stops...but I enjoy it 🙂

I have a few meetings tomorrow too.

What about you @Birdofparadise8 ?

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 yeah sometimes it can leave you feeling more agitated. Eheadspace would have a long wait time so didn’t use them much. Honestly when I was under 25 I mostly found Kids Helpline the most helpful. I didn’t know about SANE then. Now I find SANE the most helpful. But if I am at high risk state and feeling really suicidal I’ve contacted the triage, even that can be helpful or not so helpful depending on who I get but probably still a better option than Lifeline from my experience.

Yeah it all depends on the person you get. @creative_writer

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 I find it’s the same with therapists. I’ve seen a few therapists and I just wouldn’t progress as much because I simply didn’t connect. I’ve seen questionable therapy in action too, I don’t think it’s appropriate for a therapist to text during appointments. But there are also really good people out there who helped me a lot.

Re: Tw Not Coping

You had a therapist text someone else in the middle of your session @creative_writer that is totally unacceptable.
