I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.
Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.
@Birdofparadise8 Guess what? I don't understand it either LOL 😂
Except that without it, life is a sad and lonely place....

Re: Tw Not Coping
To be frank @Birdofparadise8, I wasn’t playing games, but I don’t think I was a good person then, still don’t think I am.

Re: Tw Not Coping
@Birdofparadise8, it’s hard not to let the stigma eat at you. Sometimes people think if you’re not improving that it’s your fault, maybe it was. I wasn’t improving then, maybe I was a b**** back then.

Re: Tw Not Coping
@creative_writer That's so sad to hear you were not held in confidence by your doctor. And further, that your concern about suicide was not taken seriously...

Re: Tw Not Coping
@Kyle1 and @Birdofparadise8, no longer see that GP, I last saw her years ago. She was a GP whose interest was in MH but don’t think I gelled well with her. MH system needs improving, there is tons of stigma. I was diagnosed with BDP before CPTSD, maybe it was kind of my fault because I never spoke about my trauma so they assumed it was a personality disorder instead of it being a trauma response. CPTSD can sometimes look a bit like BDP at times. I don’t even actually meet the criteria of BDP, it just seemed like an easy label to put to me since nobody knew what was going on or how to help. But still even if I did have BDP, it doesn’t warrant being stigmatised. Misdiagnosis do happen and people often don’t improve as a result. Once, the trauma was identified, I started improving.

Re: Tw Not Coping
I’ve not been in such a good place for a long while @Birdofparadise8 and haven’t really felt up to engaging in other threads much. But I have followed your journey to the mainland- I grew up in Tassie, on the north west coast, but was born in Hobart. Moved to Sydney in 2003. I’d love to move back, I hate the heat up here, but am stuck here unfortunately.
