Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Tw Not Coping

May I ask why are you going away with them if you feel your MH will be worse and that they will trigger you @Captain24?

Re: Tw Not Coping

You certainly can! @Birdofparadise8. My brother lives there! We go twice a year. I pay for most of it.

My parents are living their life through me. So they need to know what I’m doing and when. It’s nothing for them to rock up at my house with no call and no notice! I’m finding it hard to do things on my own. But I’m going to book a dog friendly motel, somewhere, later in the year and just Pix and I will go. Hopefully.

There is so much more but it may get very triggering for some.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Oh okay I’m sorry about that. Why do they live through you @Captain24

Re: Tw Not Coping

I think it because I’ve got what they could never have. @Birdofparadise8.

I appear to have it all, in the outside world. I have the good job, nice house and nice car. They have never had any of that. I think they are proud of what I’ve got which is why they feel the need to be so involved.

But they don’t know on the inside I’m a complete mess.

That’s the first time I’ve actually admitted that they are proud!

Re: Tw Not Coping

Ah okay, so they feel the need to share what you have because in their eyes you're successful. Do they not know about you MH or do they just not understand it like my parents @Captain24?

Re: Tw Not Coping

I like how you put it @Birdofparadise8. Yes that’s it.

They have absolutely no idea of my bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder or social phobia! While we are away I have to hide all my medications from them.

Not only would they not understand they would be very derogatory about it. I can repeat on here some of the things they have said about others.

Re: Tw Not Coping

I am so sorry about that @Captain24 it really sucks when our own parents don't understand what we are going through or why we are.

Re: Tw Not Coping

It’s hard that I don’t have their support @Birdofparadise8 but at the same time I don’t have them looking at me for signs. I do have to put that mask on though.

At work if I’m in a bad mood then they think it’s the bipolar. In a good mood, it’s the bipolar. If I’m tired is it bipolar? So at least I don’t have the olds looking at me like that.

Re: Tw Not Coping

I defiantly feel you there I have to put the mask on as well around work and family.

What are you doing tonight @Captain24?

Re: Tw Not Coping

The mask is hard work! @Birdofparadise8

I have dinner with the olds I’ll get home around 7 and then I might start tomorrows to do list so I can have a sleep in and a chill day!

What time are you heading out to the food trucks?
