Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Tw Not Coping

No, I'm not worried at all @Birdofparadise8 - I think it will be exciting.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Oh so you didn’t see my other posts then @tyme I don’t think it will be exciting at all with the way I am right now.

Re: Tw Not Coping

As much as I want to go with it, I also want to challenge those thoughts so as not to self-sabotage. @Birdofparadise8 . There is a line between being proactive, and over-thinking/ruminating.

All change and transition is hard and can be anxiety-provoking. But if you look at it as a new, fresh start, you are setting yourself up for the better rather than setting yourself up for a fall.

The mindset you go into it with is what will eventuate. You are in control. I believe in your ability to take the reins.

I am not sure we are on the same page @tyme? But I also get what you saying.

May I ask are you following with what I mean I am talking about my safety and all that I am getting worse as I’ve been self harming more and my suicidal thoughts are getting to the planning stage.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Thank you for clarifying @Birdofparadise8 .

I believe I am on the same page, yet I also don't want you to think it is all doom and gloom because you are having these thoughts etc. @Birdofparadise8 .

Having these thoughts can be distressing, and often, environmental factors such as change can exacerbate the frequency of these thoughts.

I also want to acknowledge that transition is difficult. It will be a time of ups and downs.

Alternatively, would you like to stay where you are now with your parents? Would you feel safer that way?

Re: Tw Not Coping

Ah okay @tyme I think I would be a bit safer being home because I am not as likely to go to hospital because of them being around.

I think though with me moving and going to be lonely that will effect things more.

Re: Tw Not Coping

In terms of going to hospital or not going to hospital is a different issue i guess @Birdofparadise8 . Someone can be in the same level of distress whether in or out of hospital.

I guess, will moving be better or worse for your MH? If you think worse, is it then better to stay with your parents?

Also, have in mind that sometimes it gets worse before it gets better - like in my case.

Mmm okay hopefully better I hope to meet new people and I need to go for my degree @tyme

Re: Tw Not Coping

I do feel, though till I get settled and meet people I will be very isolated and alone @tyme so maybe for the first-month things may get worse and then after a few months and I meet people I might get better.
